- Correction: we mixed up the Sun‘s lifespan with its age. Of course the sun is only about 4.6 billion years old, half way through its lifespan of about 10 billion years.
That star at the center of our Solar System, that superhot ball of plasma that gives us heat and energy, and amazing complexions...well, it's a ticking time bomb. The Sun is about 10 billion years old. But it's only expected to last about another 5 billion years. After that, the Sun will expand, becoming a red giant. Then it will shrink to become a white dwarf, a dying star, cooling for the next several billion years. Of course, we'll all be long gone before any of that happens. But still, can you imagine what it would be like to watch the Sun blow up before your very eyes?

If the sun exploded tomorrow, there would be no day after tomorrow.
Time would still exist, we just wouldn’t be able to track it. We are able to track time because of the Existence of the sun, but when it explodes time can no longer be tracked. That’s not to say it doesn’t still exist because as long as life continues somewhere, time still becomes relevant in some form. If a tree falls and no one’s around to hear it, did the sound even exist?
Actually, I just took Astronomy not that long ago, and in class as well as through Astronomical sources, I learned that the sun is too small to go supernova naturally. A star would have to be like at least 10 to 20 times the mass of our Sun to do so one day.
Not 10 to 20 times but 1.4 size more than the mass of the sun, check ChandraShekhar Limit on google… you’ll know.
Chandrashekhar limit says : for any planet to form a supernova or a black hole, it has to be of 1.4 of mass of sun
While the Chandrasekhar limit of about 1.4 times the mass of the Sun is indeed a critical factor in the formation of type Ia supernovae from white dwarf stars in binary systems, it's important to note that for a star to naturally go supernova through core collapse, it generally needs to be much more massive than the Sun, typically around 8 solar masses or more. This is because the process of core collapse leading to a supernova is driven by the stellar core's inability to support itself against gravitational collapse, which occurs in more massive stars.

@@macmckay9466ik, there’s is no feasible way for humans to survive whatsoever on planet earth when the sun explodes. Doesn’t matter if they’re on the opposite side of the earth because if the surface would be hotter than the sun, they would just instantly be incinerated. Same goes for bunkers underground. You would just instantly be vaporised. In fact let’s take this a step further, they wouldn’t even be able to prepare for that moment because when the sun inevitably grows larger, all of human life would die from the heat before the sun even explodes. Unless humans because highly technologically advanced 5 billion years from now and migrate to a different galaxy, they’re doomed because I’m pretty sure the sun could Vaporise everything within its galaxy or heck even universe. Humans may have to figure out mulitversal travel to survive
The Sun is a yellow dwarf star. It will never go supernova because it doesn’t have the mass to do so. It will expand when it runs out of Hydrogen and begins to burn Helium and will consume all of the inner planets when it swells to become a Red Giant then it will shrink shedding its layers so that it’s core will be a white dwarf and then his will cool over such a great span of time.

91st chapter of the Quran is called - "The sun", Sun was created 91 thousand milion/9.1 bilion years after the universe ( 13.7bilion universe age- 4.6 bilion Sun age=9.1billion) .
As Shams/The sun has 15 verses, Sun core's temperature is 15 milion degree Celcius.
The Sun chapter got 15 verses. The sun distance from earth 149.6 - 15 milion km.
There are 5778 verses between first and last occurence of the word Sun in the Quran
5778 Kelvin is the average temperature on the surface of The Sun
The moon and our planets on our Solar System FOLLOW the Sun in 226 million years to END
1 orbit around Milky Way Glaxy.
In the Quran:there are 226 letters from the end of the chapter the SUN to the very next word FOLLOW.
Verse 13:2 mentions the Sun and the Moon and their fixed motions in space.
Verse 13:2 match the moon motion 13.2 degrees/day.
verse 13:2 has 26 words,the moon moves to 26 diameters to east per day.
Word "Sun" is in the middle of the verse,1/2
if we look at the verse as 1 degreee,word Sun is

verse 75:9 says:

The verse linguistically talks about sun coming closer to moon and earth at judgment day,
While numerical position indicates light travels from sun to earth.
Verse 75:9 ,,, 79 : 5 =8.33
Light takes 8.33 minutes to travel from Sun to Earth...
The Sun is made up of 70% hydrogen (H) and 28% helium (He) atoms.Other substances make up less than 2%.
All the 15 verses in Chapter ash-Shams of the Quran (Shams meaning Sun), end in the letters H and E.
As can be seen, all the verses in Surah/Chapter -The Sun end in the letters He and Elif. The letter H stands for hydrogen and He for helium. No other Surah in the Quran ends in the letters HE in every verse from beginning to end.
Word "SUN" has an exact abjad value of 400. All words of the Quran with an exact abjad value of 400 are 91 too.
Only these are more than enough proofs that quran is from God,butt these are maybe not even 1%.

If the sun were to explode, it would look like the end of the 2009 sci-fi movie _Knowing,_ but several times more catastrophic. The sun barely sneezed in Earth’s direction and burned it to a crisp. I’m sure an exploding sun would erase anything within close vicinity from existence.

They’re bugs. Bugs die off in about a month. They wouldn’t evolve into humanoid creatures. And bugs won’t survive that. Humans are smarter and can take colder temperatures and bugs can’t. Nothing will survive. Unless there is still bacteria in the ocean to start this whole thing again, bacteria, fish, lizard, blah blah blah, to humans. Then the humans will evolve into something that can take the cold. And maybe it’ll all be okay in billions of years. But nobody will survive right now.

thats a myth. roaches would maybe survive a few days after such an explosion if they went underground but they would eventually die as well. actually most insects would perish in the end of the world
