    I love how the audio cuts out after each blast. Immediately reminds me of of tinnitus

    I own several brands of both side by side and over/under shotguns and I enjoy the basic and simplicity of these guns as well as the easy cleaning process. Alot of these modern bull pup shotguns the cleaning process is a pain in the butt to do but are decent shotguns to own.

    Remember never go into a gun fight with a handgun if a long gun is available. Indoors a shotgun with buckshot is king. Outdoors use a rifle. If you don't have a rifle, load your shotgun with slugs. Just an easy rule to being in a gun fight. Oh, if the politician you mentioned is telling you to go outside an shoot your gun, make sure its loaded with slugs. Outside slugs, inside buckshot.

    One area you are failing to recognize about someone charging toward you. If you land a good shot with 00 Buck or 000 Buck you stand a good chance of hitting the spine. If the spine fails the bad guy will drop like a rock.

      I agree with that whole heartedly- but if you miss, it takes a lot longer to reload. I love shotguns for home defense, and I love buckshot, but there are some things that AR’s naturally do better

    I have the Stoeger Double Defense side by side and I LOVE it. It’s cool, looks badass and is ALWAYS a conversation piece at the range. I’d buy another one in a heartbeat. Fun fact: the phrase “shotgun”, when calling the front seat as a passenger in a car, came from the concept of the person next to the stagecoach driver carrying a shotgun to protect the stagecoach.

  • @notsoancientpelican
    @notsoancientpelican 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yes this would be a much much better system for home defense than an AR15. People just don’t know much about firearms. An AR round will exit the whole house and will be a lethal threat within a couple hundred yard radius…maybe more. The thing that scares me more than actual home invaders is that some neighbor I don’t even know is going to hear a noise at night and open up with an AR and kill me down the block while I’m sleeping. With a 12 gauge all the pellets will stay in your house or not be lethal beyond just a few yards outside. A pump shotgun with five rounds of low power bird shot and a flashlight mounted to it is probably the greatest home defense system you could have.

    • @crankygunreviews
      @crankygunreviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You have a point that an AR round will go through several walls in a house, it would be very unlikely to travel a couple hundred yards after being mangled by drywall… yes it is still a potential to harm someone outside your residence, and as a responsible gun owner you need to choose what is best for your house and your neighborhood. My point was, if you shoot with a double barrel and miss, it takes longer to reload, and that is precious time that the attacker can rush at you and overwhelm you. Any gun with more than 2 rounds is a benefit to the person holding it when they are being attacked.
      I do understand your point, and it is valid though
