Thank you for sharing your experiences with resin art. Over the last few weeks I have gone from never working with resin in my life to making resin art nearly every day. I have learned so much from your TH-cam channel. I actually just rented a table for my first craft fair in a month. I would never have imagined doing something like this but your videos have helped inspire me to go down this path. I'm a 43 year old father of five and work for a living doing art on the side mainly painting and woodwork. I have always wanted to try this medium but never thought I could do it. I've learned I can do it and I surprise myself every day on the things I'm able to create. Thank you so much for the time you take to make these videos. Just know that I see you. I appreciate what you do and get excited when I see that you dropped a new video. Thanks again.
That is such a lovely comment and definitely validates everything the Prof shows us. He is indeed a great teacher and pushes boundaries I never knew were there.
jesstoimpress I'm a 58 year old father of 2, grandfather of 4 and have been playing with polymer clay and uv resin for about a year in the evenings after work, mainly just for fun and relaxation, but did make some wedding favours for my Daughters wedding, the granddaughter is going to love this one. Daniels videos are so uncomplicated and easy to listen to, all explained without technical jargon, and leaves the mistakes in not editing them out. Best uv resin channel going. Keep up the good work Daniel.
TH-cam has it set up so that it has become more difficult to comment on videos at the end. It’s been going on for a while now, and I try to be super conscious, even if I write something quick and simple, but I have found that even I have moved onto a few videos before I realized that I didn’t comment. In addition, when I know the channel, I give it a thumbs up right away so at least that is not forgotten. it feels like TH-cam is working against you guys sometimes.
Very subtle and yet highly effective. If you're making jewellery, folks, this technique is really going to give you some stunning pieces pretty quickly. I am already experimenting with cat's eye nail polishes and this will be a great compliment to that. Thanks again, Dan, for your experiments. I love these because of how delicate they are. Big thumbs up from me... 👍
Another reason I follow you, I am glad they are not exactly the same because that’s what makes them unique, just like you, love your art,Anne xx🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This is so beautiful! I love how nicely you explain every step and how easy it seems! I can't wait to try this! Thank you for sharing this, I love the effect and how beautiful it looks!
I have never made anything with resin, but I have wanted to for a long time. This necklace turned out beautiful. I would love to make one for my granddaughter who just turned 15, she would love it. I would like to make her a necklace using the same technique but I would like to spell out her initials with the mica drops and then run the toothpick through them to make them all curvy and pretty like the letters are written with a calligraphy pen. Her initials are LP, so they are really pretty written in cursive. And I could add a drop of mica at the end of the the cursive L and make a heart by drawing the toothpick straight down through the dot of mica. The same way you make a heart in espresso foam, or when you are decorating a cake. I think that would make a beautiful necklace that she would love and it would be a very personal gift. Like I said, I have watched videos of resin artists on and off for years, and I have always wanted to try it. My birthday is coming up September 18th and think I am going to get my husband to let me buy some resin, molds, micas, a curing lamp, and some of the jewelry findings. That would make for a great birthday present! I really enjoyed this video, thank you!
Looks like angel feathers and when i see a feather outwalking around and see no birds, i believe its a message from my daddy saying he loves me and hes proud of me
Hi, I too have drifted from art to cards to all kinds of crafting, however since discovering you I am hooked on resin. Your ideas, experiments and enthusiasm give me so much joy. Obviously I don't own all the ingredients or tools but you allow me to work with what I have and learn by my trials, I've created some lovely pieces which spurs me on my mistakes or failures go into a box to remind me what went wrong. I feel you are so non judgemental and explain in such a way that I need to improve. You are a brilliant teacher and thank you for your time. Xtine
This was a great tutorial and was just planning on doing some flames in a resin project so this was perfect timing. Thanks for all the awesome tutorials
That really is a neat technique. Just stunning the 3D effect. Almost like an opal with color inside that shifts as you turn it in the light. Very cool!
I so want to try this!!! My light is out in the universe somewhere, but know this, the minute it arrives I am going to try my version of this. Thank you for sharing.
I just watched this on my smart TV, liked and subscribed. Then i grabbed my phone, looked you up, liked, subscribed and saved this video. These are absolutely STUNNING!!!! I HAVE GOT TO DO THESE! Thank you for sharing and teaching us. You're AWESOME, Daniel
I am absolutely stunned, it's so very beautiful. I'm a big fan of resin art and iridescent colours in particular purple is my favourite colour. U r very talented sir. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is so beautiful! Thank you! And just in case you, or someone else, didn't think of this before: If you find your black background at a piece to be not opaque enough, you can always just paint the bezel itself with a bit of black acrylic paint, nail polish or what ever you have on hand. I am using up my black porcelaine paint at the moment. Works like a charm. I also completely left out the step of black resin at the back because my black pigment just ran out. Did mot see a diffenrence at all.
Reminds me of the arts and crafts fairs in the 80’s there would be all these tables throughout the middle of the mall. People would sell their crafts at Christmas time. Lots of jewellery makers of all kinds, like mood rings. It was a highlight of the Christmas season, everyone in the community looked forward to it. 😊
You could simply color the Bezel with magic marker to make the background darker on the piece you made in this video. I absolutely love, love, love it!
Thank you for sharing your experiments with resin art. Sometime ago I had to stop doing resin art , however I kept some of my molds and replaced the old ones with better and new ones, as well as pigments, glitter and resin because since I have discovered your channel with your amazing creations (I love them❤), I became motivated to make resin art again, plus my mother became interested in resin art to the point that she wants me to teach her by doing resin art together ❤❤
I love this!! I have lots of mica powders. When the rubber stamping was huge back in the 90’s, we put the mica powder in foam shave cream. Then on glossy paper, you drag the paper through, great and vibrant background papers. Loved doing that!❤
I just wanted to thank you!! This ethereal piece (I am in LOVE with this last (second) one in its delicate grace!!) would have been highly guarded by most but you shared so we could create our colors/wonders/shields! You’ve just given people hope, happiness, love (we made magic too!!) and more creativity which can save lives through dark times. Thank you for your time and healing you’re giving us! Can’t wait to see more! ❤❤❤
Stunning, this piece is just absolutely stunning !! I watch a lot of resin videos and this one totally has my mind made up, I am going to try my hand at this.
I was just mesmerized by this process and can't wait to try it. I really look forward to the UV Resin projects as that's what I use most often. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.
Wow wow wow ! I now know what my next piece is going to be! This technique has endless potential, well done and thank you so much for sharing. Have a great weekend 😘
Oh my goodness Dan I am in love with this design, think it's one of my favorites so far, definitely going to give this one a try, thanks so much for sharing ❤
I also want to thank you for your videos! I'm getting Internet next month so I will be doing a Daniel Cooper Resin marathon! I can join your channel then!
Daniel Cooper, you are an artist who I love watching. These are just so beautiful! GREAT TIPS that you give out ❤😊❤ I’m looking forward to trying this in the near future. Thanks so much for sharing 💝👌🏻💗👌🏻
I would love to see you do one in yellow orange and red (and maybe a hair of blue/purple) to see what kind of flames you can make. I love watching your videos. Thank you for sharing them.
Can I do this with 2 part resin? Love love love the effect. 😮
Sure can, again, just not too much powder 😁
@@daniel..cooper wonderful thank you. I must try.
Loving this effect ❤
I love your videos!! (Thisis me honestly reacting😂)
❤

Best of luck at the craft fair! I hope you sell every piece🍀
That's a truly lovely comment and I'm sure it will make Daniel very happy to read it. Good luck at the craft fair! ☺️

Yay, congratulations 🎊 👏 Thanks so much for this amazing comment 🥰🥰 It makes it all even more worthwhile 🥰
The Northern Lights in a pendant, just beautiful
😁😁🥰
By far the best effect I've seen so far...... Now if you'll excuse me, I have a date with a bottle of UV Resin.
I would like to see you do a Glow in the Dark one!
anyone else watch that intro like 5x on repeat with their mind blown like WTH & HTH did he do that magic 💜🪄
the resin wizard is at it again 🧙
Same! I'm like "what alchemy is this?!" Truly amazing result. I really like the simple step bynstep too.😊
TH-cam has it set up so that it has become more difficult to comment on videos at the end. Love this technique! It's so simple to make but you'd never know it. People who see this will think you're a wizard. 😍 Thank you Daniel.
You are so welcome! Thank you 🥰🫂
Pull-Out game Strong w/ this one! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Another stunning result. Brain working to angle for Northern light effect.
I'm doing resin art on our floors and walls. I'd love to see you try some "painting" with resins.
TBH, my studio could do with decorating 😂
@@daniel..cooper not sure how I can get you some pics but it's pretty awesome.
That is beautiful
this is truly stellar. Thank you genuinely for sharing this technique. You are so generous with your craft and skill.
Thanks Susan 😁 😊
I find painting the back with acrylic paint, allowing that to dry then coating the back with clear eliminates the problem of under hardening.
Another reason I follow you, I am glad they are not exactly the same because that’s what makes them unique, just like you, love your art,Anne xx🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Love how it looks like an opal.
It's very delicate and clever.
Looks like angel feathers and when i see a feather outwalking around and see no birds, i believe its a message from my daddy saying he loves me and hes proud of me
Wow! I would never have thought those colors would have come out so gorgeous.
Thank you so much!🥰🙏

When I saw the caption “You’ll be shocked when he pulls it out,” I got a little nervous. 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
lol seems like I read that title somewhere else before 😂
You are such an inspiration. Most times when people ask me how I do something my best answer is to direct them to your video
I appreciate that! Thanks so much 🥰
This was a great tutorial and was just planning on doing some flames in a resin project so this was perfect timing. Thanks for all the awesome tutorials
Dan just keep doing what you do best, no more and no less 😊
Your approach to using resin is simply incredible
I like your modest style.
Just enough information to give a try or experiment or improve. Beautiful Work!!
Perhaps you should make a little "thumbs up" / "subscribe" reminder from resin to keep in frame throughout your videos?
Gorgeous!!! I might even like the 2nd one a smidge better! 💕 it’s more free flowing….
Daniel, I enjoy every video you share.
You are so generous to share your knowledge with us. Thank you so very much. ❤

These are amazing! I love when you first turn your dipped pieces over. I actually 😲Oooooo out loud 😅. 😍
Thank you! 🤗
You could simply color the Bezel with magic marker to make the background darker on the piece you made in this video. I absolutely love, love, love it!
This is amazing. You constantly give us ways to make incredible resin pieces to aspire to. I can't wait to try this. Thank you Daniel.
