For the greenish bone color on the weapons I've found Pro Acryls Bright Warm Grey and Citadels Ionrach skin to be pretty good replacements.
Always look forward to a cult of paint video! You guys have become my favourite painting channel, loving the recent videos!
That's great to hear, we won't be slowing down!
Such a lovely scheme! Just got myself a squad and I must say this is a great inspiration
Simply gorgeous!
Thanks very much Jurriaan
Another great tutorial, Henry.
Excellent choice for a colour scheme.
Cheers Phil, I really enjoyed this one.
This is almost the exact look i want for mine. Great tutorial.
Thanks! I'd loved to have finished a kill team in this scheme.
Great video Henry, looking forward to more.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love this scheme. thanks!
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching
Just started to emulate this scheme. And yes, Scale 75 Bering Blue is a bit tricky via Airbrush.
Nonethless, love the colors! Cheers
Incredible. I'll be using this scheme to get my raiders painted up!
Awesome
love these corsairs, i think they're gonna be the first non-marine things i do!
That's pretty exciting
hello ive been dying to make a Sky Raiders corsair army due to owning the Imperial Armour 11 Doom of Mymearra book that details them in their, your tutorial was fantastic thanks so much
Beautiful color scheme! I'm trying to do something similar using Vallejo Xpress Space Grey for the armour on the primer of the Fang with Grey Seer zenithal. One thing I don't get from your video - how do you paint leather and cloths, step by step. Looking at the video it seems leather and cloth is already brown-ish when you talk about painting it black. It would be great if you could give exact steps of painting both of these elements.
Oooh, I was so looking forward to you painting Eldar models! Wonderful, thoroughly enjoyed it! May I ask if you are planning to do a video on Harlequins? I'd be incredibly interested in your army painting approach to such a high-contrast, rather complex paint scheme as that!
Easy Peasy..nice job Mr H
Thanks 👍
Loving the videos!!! Love to see a harlequins scheme!!!
They weren’t planned for this run of eldar vids, but we’ll definitely cover them at some point.
@@cultofpaint please!
Thanks a lot!
You’re welcome!
I'm seriously considering painting my eldar like this. The only thing im still unsure of is, if this would look good on vehicles, wraith constructs and aspect warriors. You did an amazing job on this corsair. and to top it of, it doesn't even require any super advanced techniques!
I think it’d look great on larger minis like tanks etc. I think I may do my Aeronautica eldar in this scheme.
@@cultofpaint Ok. It has been decided. Paints are ordered, models are built and brushes are ready. My Aeldari will bear these colors with pride :D Such a cool color scheme. Thank you for making this tutorial
i really love the green gem formula. are there a trio of colors you’d recommend for red/magenta gems?
Very cool! 👍🏻 Which model is it? Is it from the new eldar corsairs?
Would be keen for you to do a vid on how you mount the model on the pegs and the remove the model from the cork amd out it on the base. Sounds simple but still interested I'm the process.
Henry, this is beautiful. When the models arrive I will be using this colour scheme
Thanks Nick. Look forward to seeing that.
Very lovely work, love the blue! Could you do a Cult of The Four Armed Emperor Genstealer Cult neophyte?
I’d love to do some GSC, a few have asked. Will see what we can come up with.
Usually when I feel the need to reapply a oil wash multiple times I either thinned it too much or used oil paints with less and/or transparant pigment in them. Because of this I am leaning more and more towards heavier washes (lower ratio of mineral spirits). Based on your video's you seem to prefer mixing up washes that are on the thinner side. Have you experimented with thicker washes? If so, how was your experience?
Hi, I use washes in a variety of dilutions. Depends on the effect i want. Sometimes a single thicker coat works well, other time multiple more dilute ones gives me the desired effect and control.
Hey Henry, you mentioned you had a couple of gore at this before you liked the scheme. Curiosity how often do you need multiple gore at a scheme?
I tend to find I need 2-3 attempts each time I try something new
Honestly it varies a lot. Sometimes first time sometimes 3 or 4. But there will always be something of use learned.
@Cult of Paint how long do you leave the model to let the gloss varnish to dry. And I am loving all the videos thank you
Most of the time i just get a hairdryer on it for 30 seconds or so and carry on. Or make a cup of tea etc. not long. Mainly because I very rarely use the gloss to protect the paint work, so I'm not applying it in thick coats.
@Cult of Paint thank you so much
I love your minimalist and cyberpunkish 80s style od painting these. Do you comission paint?
Thanks! We do, drop us an email at commissions@cultofpaint.com
Is there an equivalent color to the S75 Bering Blue?
Did you ever finish these? Gorgeous paintjob. Truly.
Thanks Steven. I didn’t, I gave them to Andy. But I often think about getting another box.
@@cultofpaint I'd love to see them finished some day. I've become obsessed with killteam over the past few months and absolutely love your videos on them. If only there were a traitor guard video.
5:09 if Rich plays Dark Eldar, Harlequins, or Craftworld Eldar, you could scratch that Eldar itch with Eldar Rich. 🥁
Interesting..........
These minis are like anime 😬 a huge miss on creating something Dark and moody for eldar.
Very cool scheme though
