How much pressure do I need for pressing such a stainless steel fitting ? I want to press such a fitting on a 5mm/6mm steel cable (for my fitness cable pulley). Is a normal big crimping plier for electrical cables for 10/16/25/35/50mm2 enough or do I need hydraulic crimping pliers ? (Maybe a dumb question, but ...) is the 10/16/25/35/50mm2 size related to the cable or the fitting dimension ? Thanks in advance !
Hi. Thanks for the comment. An electrical crimper would not be suitable for this fitting and we would recommend using a large hydraulic press to generate sufficient pressure. At TECNI we have these large presses and can manufacture assemblies to your design & specification. If you would like a quote please contact sales@tecni.uk. Thanks again.
Where do I get theses ends ? Ireland calling
