You say the language is very similar to Romanian, but the language IS actually Romanian and both countries' citizens understand each other 100%. Moldova is a historic Romanian teritory, it's been cut out from the main country by the USSR in 1940. Also some 20 years ago they got the opportunity of freely getting Romanian citizenship. Unfortunately the 50 years of Soviet domination have destroyed the heartfelt historic links tying the 2 teritories and most of Moldavians don't consider themselves Romanians anymore, neither do they wish to reunite with the mainland.
Please do not visit us. I enjoy our quiet low crime evenings, chatting with neighbors drinking a glass of wine, low prices on fruits and vegetables, kids playing alone outside and strong family relations

First: a big thank you for visiting my country! We really look forward welcoming as many tourists as possible. We and the government try our best to develop the infrastructure as soon as possible. Second: in spite of our serious facial expressions, generally we try to be friendly with foreigners. If someone acts weirdly, it means that they are weird even with locals, so better to avoid awkward vibes. Lots of youth speaks English and normally we don't mind to show directions or even have a chat. Again, don't feel intimidated by our serious faces. It's an eastern European thing, to be genuine in our facial expressions. Third: we look forward to become a member of EU, which would create future opportunities to accommodate more sightseeing places and facilities for tourists. Indeed our food and wine are delicious. I wouldn't call them neither organic, nor cheap, but pretty competitive. In regards to renting flats, actually there are plenty of places with lower rates than you showed in this video. Unfortunately, ads are displayed on our local sites. We should work more on Airbnb and booking. Again, thank you for being respectful and kind!

I'm in Chisinau Moldova right now, and a few benefits to staying in Moldova is the Medical tourism. Dental care is very cheap and quality. Especially if you live in the United States (Like I do) then you pay significantly less for work that is at the worst - the same - and likely better. As far as staying in hotels - it's crazy overpriced, you get like 17 US dollar a day rates, but then have to pay a daily "destination fee" of like 600-1100 MDL. Airbnb is much better in this regard - and to answer your question, if you do long stays, you DO get much better rates. They give weekly then monthly rates. I have a monthly rate so i am staying in a place in the center of Chisinau for 1 month for about 1,200USD total which is about 38 dollars. this includes all the fees and what came out already. and it's very modern in the house (but no elevator to get up to the top floor). and Lastly as far as the wine - it's much nicer to buy the wine in restaraunt like when you went to La Placinte or to Andys (you didn't go there but it's also pretty popular) as i think they are overall better than bottled wines (and almost always cheaper) you get a lot of different tastes from them Overall great video, enjoyed it.

Hi again Dany, nice video. I did actually watch that Bald and Bankrupt video you showed a snippet of that made Moldova to look awful (Benjamin does tend to zero in on the worst areas, hang out with drunks and go not in the best weather). My two cents is that yeah the cost of living in terms of renting an apartment and eating out on the local food is probably very low. But there's only so much eating out on local food you might want to do before you get bored of it and you probably cannot get much international food like a nice laksa or tonkatsu or something. It would be interesting to know what activities there are to do other than just walking around and eating and drinking. I for example found in Lvov (before the war) that other than looking at old buildings, walking around, eating and drinking, there didn't seem too much to do (no lake, ocean or river to swim, no golf courses etc) and I'd guess that would be the same with Chisinau but might be wrong.
Similar perspective. Personally not the biggest fan of lviv and chisinau would definetly get boring very fast. Overall it was much better and nicer than expected but not a spot that will be one of my hubs to go back to. But fun to check out :D

This is absolutely nothing what what Moldova, their people and culture is like and you should be ashamed of this video.
You literally walked around a few blocks in the center of the CAPITAL, but pretend your video is about the COUNTRY. You didn’t even know who’s the president when you landed in the country, you’re naming it wrong (Moldavia instead of Moldova, Kishinev instead of Chisinau), eat at McDonalds, show off your AirBnb, as if anyone cares, and name yourself a travel vlogger 🤦🏻♀️ You haven’t even shown 5% of what the city is about or what it has to offer, let alone the whole country.
Dude, your accent is hard to be hidden. Where does it come from? Why would you call Chisinau, Kisiniev. There are a lot of small things reflecting your attitude towards Moldova. Am I wrong?
Moldovian people are great people kind and simple but it''s a really poor country colony of the EU unfortunately and they are not romanian the romanian goverment and romanian nationalist are trying 30 years allmost to annex moldova but even tough they have pro eu puppet goverment they tried to bribe them with eu romanian passport but they can't because the moldovian people that still there don't want to be part of romania.

as a romanian i can tell you moldovans are kind and respectful , they even restpect a shit , they have a saying that goes '' be careful not to step on the gentleman down there'' instead of ''careful not to step on that shit'' , '' aveti grija sa nu calcati pe dansul''

This was a critique of Chisinau and hardly of Moldova if you didn't venture outside of the capital!
this looks like a beautiful city! and i was a bit surprised, with Spanish being my second language, i was able to understand most of the print on signs and menus i saw in your video. would love to visit.
@@PhxVanguard they are both Romance languages, that’s why you could understand it.
You were surprised why? Didn't you know they speak Romanian? You live under a rock or something?
@@RaduRadonys so you understand German since you speak English?
@@PhxVanguard No I don't, but I understand some words if I see signs and menus.
@@RaduRadonys some, but not most. I guess you are just a little slower. 😂
Very well presented.
It looks a good place to visit.
It's like walking in Manchester😁
I want to visit in new years period
Moldova is not a poor country it just a small country ppl live there happily!!! In kyiv also many gypsies came from Romania and also in lviv!
Цыган в украине намного больше чем в румынии и они местные украинские
Oh,those poor Moldavië people don't have"refugees" from africa and the middle east to "enrich" their culture...soo sad!
Cool to see that you enjoyed magical Moldova … 🇲🇩🍷 Did you make it out to Orhei Vechi? It looked like it in your drone footage.
Thanks 🙏🏻🍷 that’s stock at the end 😇
@@Danygotaworldtosee Ok, I'll go get some new drone footage over there before next summer.
If you want good wine you have to try the home made wine. Way better than the stuff you get in the shop.
And you found young Linda Hamilton on your side, what a nice idea...
Bruh makes me miss my hometown 😢
My Fav is City Park Hotel followed by Glass Club Hotel
I already saw this video, and I love it 😊🙏👍
Very very clean.
15:55 I stayed in exactly the same airbnb but it had a lockbox near the door back then. It was like 22 Euros 2 years ago 🤣 The stairs are crazy in the Appartment I nearly slipped few times
Would be interesting to see your top 10 countries you like in the world. And also in Europe as well. 🤗
Moldova is Chisinau, by administrative and economically means but culturally it's Iasi !
30:01 Dany, I expected you to pour the wine in a 🍷 and offer it to your lady first. Wondering why it didn't happen?:)
Wonder why you have said Don't Visit Moldova??
Agreed!
same thing has happen to me with the girl that asked you for money in Romania
Tell us about it lol
Those are usually Romani/gypsies that do that...
😂
As for the poorest country in Europe it still look better and cleaner than the rest of southeast asia except singapore
What Moldova can offer? Good wine, good traditional food, beautiful women. Anything else has issues.
It's called Chisinau, not Kisinev
which place you stayed in ??
Nice video! However those old comunist looking buildings you can also see them all over England and nobody makes a big deal about it.
Those old communist building were given to people for free. I can't understand why people don't take into account the historical setting in which they were built. Nobody gives a flat for free nowadays.
Bro im living in Moldova
Hell yeah, dude was bumpin Suicide Boyz 😅
dislike. Moldova isn't the poorest country in Europe. visit the country and cant use google...
Too bad you did come across that Old guy from the Yes Theory gang. He made the video
Why don't you visit south LA to show us how civilised clean and coherent the social fabric is. Eh?
Poor you. You forgot a shirt. Hope you are wearing shoes. Next time better, right?
I have an ex gf from Moldova and he is a very Nice man.. just don't want to live in his country because it's very far from my country Philippines
Never trust someone that pretends to know better than you! Or a local 😉
I’ve subscribed but unsubscribed after this first video, good luck 🥂
Lmao it was the shirt wasn’t it 😂😂
Yes it was a shirt, no class 🤮🥂
But Stefi Graf never won any Man's Tennis tornament!?
Why would you? If you're in need of some warmer weather in November i will be in Fethiye in Turkiye will buy you and Liza a Turkish çay 👍
The accommodation & food, seems expensive.
Please do not say Kishiniov... We are Kishinau! Good luck !!!
Any history to that name?
do they have real ghettos in moldova like fakulteta(45k) or Stoliponovo(80k) in Bulgaria that look like the thirld world in Europe?
not really
В Молдове нет совсем никаких гетто . Нет дажи тогоко понятия .
У нас нет мигрантов , мы их выгоняем.
No there are no ghettos.
You shoud visit Balti city! ♠️
I've been in Moldova once still better then the poor part or Romania!
As somebody who been there for a month and spent every minute of my time meeting locals and visiting places i can say you're most disrespectful person seen so far on yt visiting Moldova.
You have Guiness world record Winery Milestii Mici just at the hand reach and then you have Orhei National Park that has so much history behind it.
This is absolutely nothing what what Moldova, their people and culture is like and you should be ashamed of this video.
You literally walked around a few blocks in the center of the CAPITAL, but pretend your video is about the COUNTRY.
You didn’t even know who’s the president when you landed in the country, you’re naming it wrong (Moldavia instead of Moldova, Kishinev instead of Chisinau), eat at McDonalds, show off your AirBnb, as if anyone cares, and name yourself a travel vlogger 🤦🏻♀️
You haven’t even shown 5% of what the city is about or what it has to offer, let alone the whole country.
AND DANY IS WALKING AROUND INA WHITE TANK TOP AKA "WIFE BEEATTER"😊
Where is Dany from?
Ukraine
Ukraine and Germany mixed i guess
Most likely result of yet another opportunistic Ukrainian woman sleeping with a German guy.
Are you Moldova 🇲🇩
Very nice ❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
Of course it's cute and cheaper! There is no war there!
Who said that Moldova European country?
@bambrkergudu6639 Maps have always said Moldova is in Europe. Lots of Russia is in Europe too. I expect you failed geography at school.
