If you are still there, you can visit the Botanical Garden and just when you come out from the gate, there are bath houses. There was a construction meant to renovate an Orthodox Church and during the excavation, they discovered a 14th century bath house! That is worthy of visiting.
I visited Georgia for two weeks in Sep 2023. I stayed in Tbilisi, but my wonderful Russian friends took me on many day trips to various historical & archeological sites. And that's what you seem to have missed -- the amazing experiences of seeing ancient ruins of monasteries and fortresses in Ujarma, Dmanisi, Stepantsminda, Mtckheta... The food I had in Georgia was uniformly wonderful and quite cheap -- the people in Platforma Design hotel (near Liberty Square in Tbilisi), cafes & restaurants were very friendly and almost always have some English. The only downside was truly horrible traffic in downtown Tbilisi. But I would go again in a heartbeat, and encourage others to visit too!

Thanks for a great video Dany. It helped me relive my trip there ~2 years ago. I loved Georgia (both the country and the state). How can I forget their food? So Delicious. I spent over a month in Tbilisi before Putler scared a couple of million Russian men when he started his mobilization, that caused those who could afford it to leaving the Zombie State for destinations that would still have them (like Georgia, etc.). Georgians seemed to be very Pro-Ukraine and Anti-Putler / Anti-Russia, which is understandable given that Putler and the Zombie State continue to occupy ~20% of their country. And, as I am sure that you already know, now that Ukraine (a country basically without a Navy) has sank 1/3 of Putler's Black Sea Fleet and driven it out of the temporarily occupied Crimea, Putler has moved what remains of his Black Sea Fleet over to a small Georgian port that he has been building up just for this purpose. I believe that, as soon as the US Presidential elections are over, Zelensky will attack the Zombie fleet there and upgrade what remains of it to Submarines, too. By the way, Persians are not Arabs and Arabs are not Persians. Persians and Arabs have been killing each others (as neighbors) for over 2,000 years! Persians, Russians and Ottoman are the ones who've been attacking Georgia for over 3,000 years!
Quick story - that ferries wheel hotel was planned to be technical university and students could enjoy with that wheel on freetime but plan failed government changed and new government sold the tower. i dont think wheel is functioning
I love Georgia, I visit this summer,I went Batumi airport to by fly ticket ,and the worker name Sofia give me false ticket ,I’m glad I find out 2 days before fly , I book another ticket, I report but that worker already get fired from job he still many from many customers and people,I didn’t get my many back , still waiting
Honestly batumi architecture is in many ways flawed and not used. The new building seem to be more proper but the skyline in the back is already deteriorating with cheap appartments. But the new Marriott and others look very promising
@@kingdomofgeorgia1751I mean more these 3 blue towers on the coast. Look great but inside the apartments are terrible and after a few years looks like new age kruchevka. Hope will get better with new high rises.
@@Danygotaworldtosee You are right, but we have nothing to do with these cheap apartments. Khruchov ordered to build cheap houses for the Soviet people. People had no choice. They got what government built for them. During the Soviet era, we did not have the real estate companies. Today, residents have no money to build the new apartments.

I was thinking it could be a good trip overnight train from Istanbul to Tbilisi (midnight train to Georgia lol) and stay a month or so see how it is. Im in Tbilisi now as a tourist its got some really good interesting places to visit, but to live its a different story: heavy traffic & pollution, buildings literally falling apart, graffiti and dog poop everywhere, the city for the most part is a poop hole
Who eats japanese sushi with thai Tom yam soup plus chinese dumplings? And this is best japanese restaurant????? To me this is a wanna be not knowing which kind of asian food with no direction serving same popular crap for tourists who do not know any better.
When I was there is 2016 the air quality was the worst in my life.. even people that live there, young people coughing a lot.. its not a great place.. you would probably lose some years off your life if you lived there for many months..

I lived in NYC for years.. the problem with Tiblisi is that its in a valley and all those old soviet era cars and trucks putting out pollution.. there aren''t the same regulations like in the U.S. or Western Europe.. It really is bad there.. Actually the content of the air may be the worst in the world vs somewhere like Delhi, India..

On top of that hill is also Funicular, there is a very good restaurant on top. It is near that cable car you've taken. I love Georgia!

Maybe because of a gas pollution from vehicles. If you go to mountains, air is fresh. The worst air quality on the globe is in NYC.
