I worked in this aquarium, mostly with puffins and penguins. It was a highlight of my life, really. Cleaning those rocks in the penguin exhibit was NO joke, though, scrubbing the rocks DAILY with diluted betadine, climbing them, trying not to fall, then spreading two 7 ft snow piles all over, then carrying very heavy bins full of fish and putting the vitamins/meds in their gills! And that was all before 9am! A lot of work, but what a wonderful experience.
We're spoiled with this amazing zoo that's so heavily focused on preservation and giving all the species a natural habitat! Glad you got to experience our zoo!
I've lived my whole life in Omaha Ne. I love this Zoo! I spend several days every year at this zoo and my most visited location is this aquarium. This Aquarium is what inspired me to have the tanks ad fish I do now. Much respect to the crew that keeps the Henry Dorly Zoo Aquarium going and growing. It's been a staple in my life since 1986.

@@repentandbelieveinjesuschr9495 The Hog Rider card is unlocked from the Spell Valley (Arena 5). He is a very fast building-targeting, melee troop with moderately high hitpoints and damage. He appears just like his Clash of Clans counterpart; a man with brown eyebrows, a beard, a mohawk, and a golden body piercing in his left ear who is riding a hog. A Hog Rider card costs 4 Elixir to deploy. Strategy His fast move speed can boost forward mini tanks like an Ice Golem in a push. At the same time, he can also function as a tank for lower hitpoint troops such as Goblins as he still has a fair amount of health. Most cheap swarms complement the Hog Rider well, as they are nearly as fast as him and usually force more than one card out of the opponent's hand. The Hog Rider struggles with swarms, as they can damage him down and defeat him quickly while obstructing his path. Barbarians in particular can fully counter him without very strict timing on the defender's part, though be wary of spells. A Hunter can kill the Hog Rider in 2 hits if placed right on top of it. However, if you place something in front of the Hog Rider, the Hunter's splash will damage the Hog Rider and hit the card in front of it more. The Hog Rider in conjunction with the Freeze can surprise the opponent and allow the Hog Rider to deal much more damage than anticipated, especially if the opponent's go-to counter is a swarm, or swarms are their only effective counter to him. Skeletons and Bats will immediately be defeated by the spell, while Spear Goblins, Goblins, and Minions will be at low enough health to be defeated by a follow up Zap or Giant Snowball. However, this strategy isn't very effective against buildings as the Hog Rider will take a while to destroy the building, giving the opponent ample time to articulate another counter. Against non-swarm troops, it can deal a lot of damage during the freeze time, but this can allow the opponent to set up a massive counterpush. For this reason, players should either only go for a Hog Rider + Freeze when they have other units backing it up from a counterattack, or if the match is about to end and they need to deal as much damage as possible. It is not a good idea to send in a Hog Rider simply to destroy a building, especially if it is the only building targeting unit available, as defeating Crown Towers becomes substantially more difficult. Spells or simply waiting out the lifetime of the building are more effective. The exception to this is an Elixir Collector placed in front of the King's Tower. If a Hog Rider placed at the bridge, he can destroy the Collector for a positive Elixir trade, though the damage from both Princess Towers will usually mean he does not survive to deal any damage to them. However, if the opponent sends in defending troops, it can be an opportunity to gain spell damage value. In a deck with several low-cost cards, it might be worth it to simply send the Hog Rider against one building. These decks shuffle their card rotation quick enough, that they will arrive to their next Hog Rider before the next building arrives in the opponent's card rotation. Long-ranged troops like Musketeer and Flying Machine can snipe those buildings, preserving some of the Hog Rider's health, possibly allowing it to get some Tower damage. When there are buildings placed in the middle to counter the Hog Rider, understanding the placement of the Hog Rider and the type of building placed can help the Hog Rider to bypass certain buildings. Passive buildings such as spawners and Elixir Collector have a larger hitbox than defensive buildings; which means that if a passive building was placed 3 tiles away from the river in the middle of the opponent's side, then it is impossible for the Hog Rider to bypass that placement as the Hog Rider will get pulled to that building. Defensive buildings have a smaller hitbox than a passive building, which means if that if a defensive building was placed three tiles away from the river in the middle of the opponent's side, a Hog Rider placed at the very left or right side of the Arena may be able to bypass it due to its smaller hitbox. If the player has a building already placed down in the center of the arena, and the opponent tries to bypass it with a Hog Rider at the edge of the arena, they can use certain air troops to push the Hog Rider towards the building as it jumps over the river, effectively denying the bypass attempt. They must be already hovering over the correct placement, as very quick reflexes are required to correctly perform this technique. For Bats, Skeleton Dragons, and Minion Horde, they should be placed right in front of the Hog Rider as soon as it is deployed. For Minions, Skeleton Barrel, Mega Minion, Flying Machine, Electro Dragon, Baby Dragon, Inferno Dragon, Balloon, and Lava Hound, stagger the above placement one tile to the right if the Hog Rider is placed on the left side of the arena, and vice versa. They can also use ground troops to achieve the same result. Something like an Ice Golem deployed at the Hog Rider’s landing spot will obstruct his path and force him to go around the unit, which causes him to be closer to the building instead of the Crown Tower. The Hog Rider can kite Very Fast non-building targeting troops due to his own Very Fast speed and building only targeting if he is placed on the fourth tile from the bridge, slightly into the opposite lane. He can also stall grounded units when placed right at the bridge. He will pull them towards him while deploying, and then be untargetable by them when he jumps over the bridge. After landing, he will pull them back. This can be useful when the player needs to deal damage in the same lane they are defending. It will also help separate troops behind a tank in a large push. A Tornado placed on the second tile front of the player's King's Tower and staggered two tiles towards the Princess Tower will activate it without any damage dealt to the Princess Tower, helping them in defending future pushes. This can also be a method of mitigating all damage dealt to a Princess Tower, but doing this more than three times may result in the King's Tower's health being low enough to be targeted directly, opening up the possible threat of a back door three crown. A better alternative is to pull the Hog away from the Princess Tower into the attacking range of all three Crown Towers, which will negate all damage as long as none of them are already distracted A very powerful combo is the Hog Rider, the Musketeer, and the Valkyrie, typically referred to as the Trifecta. The Musketeer will defend against most troops, while the Valkyrie can protect her and the Hog Rider from swarms or high damage units. The Hog Rider is used to deal damage to the tower. This can be effectively countered by Lightning, one-shotting the Musketeer and severely damaging both the Valkyrie and Hog Rider. The Minion Horde is also effective, but the enemy can Zap them and the Musketeer will one-shot them all. Even if the Musketeer is defeated, the Hog Rider and Valkyrie will have enough time to severely damage the Tower. The Hog Rider should be placed behind the Valkyrie to give it a boost so that it stays in front of the Hog Rider, protecting it. A Hog Rider combined with a Goblin Barrel can be awkward for the opponent to defend against. Timing it so that the Hog Rider is tanking the tower shots for the Goblins is the most effective way to deal damage. However, a Barbarian Barrel can shut this down with minimal Tower damage for a positive Elixir trade, as long as the Goblin Barrel was placed directly on the Tower. Pairing the Hog Rider with the Balloon can deal devastating damage. If executed properly, the Hog Rider will act as a tank while the Balloon threatens to deal massive damage. The Hog Rider can also destroy any buildings attempting to slow down the combo. However, this combo is very vulnerable to swarms and anti-air cards as neither of the troops target anything but buildings. Additionally, they are easy to separate, due to the disparity in move speeds. Alternatively, the Hog Rider and the Balloon can be played in different lanes to spread the opponent's defenses thin. However, a building or Tornado can bring them back together for an easier defense. The Hog Rider can be paired with the Lumberjack as both a swarm bait and damage combo. It is a very fast combo with an extremely high damage output potential, so the enemy will likely try to counter it with a swarm. If this happens, use a spell like Arrows to render the opponent defenseless. If they manage to defeat the Lumberjack, the dropped Rage will make the Hog Rider even more dangerous than it normally is. A fast and deadly combination is the Hog Rider and Mini P.E.K.K.A. combo. Both units are fast but the Mini P.E.K.K.A. does much more damage and does not attack only buildings so the Mini P.E.K.K.A. can deal with troops like the Executioner and Musketeer. However, this combo can be defeated with swarms like Skeleton Army, which will defeat both of them since neither of them can deal area damage. They are also unable to target air troops, so the Minion Horde can stop this easily. A risky play is to deploy the Hog Rider at the bridge as soon as the match starts. If the opponent does not react fast enough, the Hog Rider will deal a significant amount of damage to the Princess Tower. This can also allow the player to quickly scout the opponent's deck if they happen to react to him fast enough

I work at an aquarium, a very large place, and when i began and i knew nothing, but its now become a hobby done with passion to learn about more species and i can plainly see i need to be working here, and im blown away. Cant get enough of it and its amazing and even bizarre but yet natural behaviors
My Aunt worked there when I was a kid. I got a backstage tour of both the bug rooms and the aquarium and got to meet a penguin up close and personal. They had a turtle who had been hit by a speed boat rotor in a hidden rehab tank. Its one of my favorite memories.
Next time we come to the USA that's on the bucket list for sure. Thank you George for going here. And Mitch seems awesome. Get him back for an interview for sure.
This place must get a lot of visitors to make it worth it, paying all the staff, feeding the animals, the setup, the running costs, plus more and more costs.
I am from Nebraska and now live in KC. There is a tendency to discount Nebraska but was delighted to find this feature on UTUBE. It aroused feelings of pride that I had not felt for years
This zoo is amazing. In my short span of living in the Midwest, 3yrs been to this zoo about 6 different times. It’s incredible and to say the least my 5yr old daughter loves this place. George, you are a staple to our communities. Giving us behind the scene tours of everything it takes to run these facilities makes zoo aquariums so much more incredible. You are an inspiration to us all. Thank you George 🙏🏽
WOW Mitch - I've seen many aquariums (San Diego, Dubai, Nassau, Montreal), and wow this one seems by far the nicest water/corals. And I have to guess its because of the water! I hope other aquariums can take notes on your behind the scenes. You're doing something right. Thank you!
I live near Omaha and I love this zoo. Go here pretty much every summer, but never cover all the exhibits because of how large it is. The aquarium is a must though every year.
This is an amazing "Zoo", I had no idea such a place existed... Thanks for vlogging this, which is now one more place on my bucket list, even though it'll be a major hike from the UK...

I remember interning in the aquarium in the Omaha zoo for 3 years in high school. It was connected to an educational volunteer program I did at the zoo from a young age. Since I was a child I wanted to work with animals and this facility was absolutely stunning to work in. I realized that I was doing a variety of amazing things that not many other 17 year olds are doing for a place like this.
Wow, I’ve never even heard of this place but it is sooooo cool and I love how you get to see behind the scenes! I never would have guessed what all that. Piping looks like and the propagation tanks. Thank you for sharing! Sending you love!

There are larger stand alone aquariums, but the Henry Doorly Zoo has the largest aquarium inside of a zoo. It is really quite spectacular considering it's located in Nebraska.
My dads from Omaha and all his siblings live there so whenever we visit we usually go to Henry Doorly and it really is one of the coolest zoos I’ve been to. The Sulawesi reef exhibit with the simulated wave is one of my favorite parts of the entire zoo I could spend hours viewing just that one tank.
I live in Omaha and I love the zoo! It is one of the best things about living here for sure. My favorite building at the zoo is the aquarium.. I spend a lot of time taking pictures of the jellyfish. I clicked on this video interested in seeing a cool video about aquariums and while it's still cool I had no idea it would be about my local zoo!
Wow, I didn’t know that the Henry Doorly zoo has one of the best aquariums in the US, I live pretty close, I’m in Omaha right now, I’ve been there before, last time I went I was pretty small though, and they had an albino crocodile in there and bat cave, it was awesome
Omg yes. I think every year it gets bigger. The albino croc is still there too. To actually see everything it would take a week. I love the aquarium part. So relaxing.
This zoo itself is absolutely amazing but I wasn't impressed by the aquarium at all. The shots and angles they use here really make it look much bigger than it actually is. Outside of the aquarium it's one of the most amazing zoos in the country, usually ranking 1 or 2 in competition with the San Diego Zoo and the Lincoln Park Zoo
How could you not be impressed isn't it the largest aquarium in the world??? (Or one of) It's not like we can see through the ocean 🌊 itself.... I am deeply impressed I love aquariums. They are so beautiful and fascinating 🙏♥️😊👍😎🐟🐠

Amazing video man! How do you start to become a professional aquarist? I’ve had tanks my whole life and I really want to expand on it I truly enjoy it. I would like to eventually have a pond/aquarium company but I’m not sure what how to make that happen.
I went there 3 times previously because of work and it is absolutely awesome. Animals look so much more happy. Hands down best Zoo. I was in love the the aquarium. I highly recommend.

I go to this zoo nearly every summer when I visit family in Nebraska. It's truly magical. The aquarium and the desert dome are my absolute favorite.
I work at an aquarium, a very large place, and when i began and i knew nothing, but its now become a hobby done with passion to learn about more species and i can plainly see i need to be working here, and im blown away. Cant get enough of it and its amazing and even bizarre but yet natural behaviors
I’d love to work in an aquarium one day, I’m about to graduate with my bachelors in marine biology :)
Good lick

that's my dream
My Aunt worked there when I was a kid. I got a backstage tour of both the bug rooms and the aquarium and got to meet a penguin up close and personal. They had a turtle who had been hit by a speed boat rotor in a hidden rehab tank. Its one of my favorite memories.
Next time we come to the USA that's on the bucket list for sure. Thank you George for going here. And Mitch seems awesome. Get him back for an interview for sure.
Absolutely breathe taking
This place must get a lot of visitors to make it worth it, paying all the staff, feeding the animals, the setup, the running costs, plus more and more costs.
I am from Nebraska and now live in KC. There is a tendency to discount Nebraska but was delighted to find this feature on UTUBE. It aroused feelings of pride that I had not felt for years
George i started my fish youtube because of you and cuz i have a CORAL CAT SHARK and ten tanks so i srarted making vids of my mini zoo
Born and raised in Omaha. Loved watching this zoo become what it is now and can’t wait to see what’s next!!
As someone who visits that zoo yearly, it’s massive. Although this looks completely different than I remember from even last year
Mitch is hilarious, and this zoo looks amazing! 💜
Thank you!

You should visit Singapore. Everything was so beautiful there and there's fun little events for children too from time to time
I've been going to that zoo for years but never new how they managed to operate those tanks. Keep up the good work!
If you or someone you know is a member, go to one of their annual member appreciation days, the zoo does behind the scene tours for them.
It’s definitely worth it! I’m lucky I get to visit once a year or more since I live am hour from it!
Same here! 😊♥️🙏😎
Mitch is funny and what a magnificent aquarium!
I respect everyone who were involved in this Seriously the best piece that i ve ever seen on TH-cam 💌 Hate off to well all 💟 love your videos
SO TRUE
Mhm....
Hey I’m from nebraska and I love the Henry Doorly Zoo!! Definitely worth a visit!! Love going there, it is seriously insane!!
What a delight! Excellent video! We love Mitch! Give the fans what we want, more Mitch!
Mitch has a dry sense of humor and he knows it, Great personality and is quick on his feet. He's not trying to be disrespectful, he's just trying to help with the content
I live in Lincoln Nebraska and have been to this zoo all of my life! So cool to see behind the scenes. Also Mitch was hilarious in this video! Keep the awesome content coming!
Man Mitch is literally propagating his own coral ? That is freaking awesome and shows a level of dedication thoughtfulness and skill
So fun to see creatures that we don't see everyday. Thanks for the escape.
I like Mitch's honesty, I vote yes to hearing a lecture from him
I was suprised to see a whole habitat dedicated to sulawesi! Thank you mitch for bringing one habitat from my country to omaha, nebraska! Awesome job!
Gue orang sulawesi bangga
From growing up going to the zoo to now DJing the Henry Doorly zoo events is crazy
Never thought Id have a compelling reason to visit Nebraska, but wow that aquarium is amazing!
Mitch is absolutely hilarious! Oh man he should consider doing standup comedy!
Mitch is a straight savage 😂😂 Love it!
Mitch is one of those people that was destined to do this job. It takes this kind of unique dude to run something so amazing.
Wow, I’ve never even heard of this place but it is sooooo cool and I love how you get to see behind the scenes! I never would have guessed what all that. Piping looks like and the propagation tanks. Thank you for sharing! Sending you love!
Come visit our zoo here in Omaha and you'll really fall in love with the place.
@@lindsay1408 hands down the best zoo! can't wait to take the kiddos this year!
@@katscar272 there's literally a rope bridge in the jungle exhibit that goes by a waterfall, and everything in the jungle exhibit is on a raised cement catwalk
The fish at 7:14 is just like "Hey! I'm here too" XD
This was absolutely incredible. Especially the freshwater jungle exhibit. I honestly loved the giant catfish and freshwater rays. 😳
I go there every day! I live in the area! I know so much about the animals. It's a great place and all the animals have their own unique personalities it feels like, once you're there enough and you watch them enough! 10/10 would suggest visiting at least twice!
Mitch is really a good tour guide
Very comfortable to hang around sort of person
I love your vlogs!!!
Ok
captivity, wow 😂 great 👌
Man that place is absolutely amazing! Beautiful enclosures & super diverse species. That Wolf Eel is super cool, would love to see/learn more about a species like that.
Mitch killed you at the end! 😂😂😂 you might need a new catch phrase!
Amazing! Once my parents let me go out after covid I will certainly go to my nearby aquarium!
I guess you’ll never get to go since Covid is never going away
16:39 アシカの展示がめちゃめちゃカッコいいですね。さすがアメリカ!
"Different colored clownfish are an abomination against god" 🙃 I lost it
Mitch is an absolute GOAT.
One of ? The title says The largest. I've always thought that the largest aquarium in America was in Atlanta.
There are larger stand alone aquariums, but the Henry Doorly Zoo has the largest aquarium inside of a zoo. It is really quite spectacular considering it's located in Nebraska.
I’ve never wanted to go to Nebraska until now 😍
All the animals and fish in this video were so cool! The camera shots you got were great 👍
My dads from Omaha and all his siblings live there so whenever we visit we usually go to Henry Doorly and it really is one of the coolest zoos I’ve been to. The Sulawesi reef exhibit with the simulated wave is one of my favorite parts of the entire zoo I could spend hours viewing just that one tank.
"Nitrates don't really matter"- Mitch 😅
Mitch is hilarious. Great guy 👍
I want to be an upside-down jellyfish. Just on the ground, face planted on the sand, butt cheeks exposed, getting sunlight.
Mitch has no interest in fresh water?! How dare he! 😆
A great video, and an amazing place. Going to see that aquarium / zoo just made my bucket list.
Never heard of this zoo before, definitely adding it to the bucket list! Great video!
You will love it!
So happy they let you guys tour and record this place, otherwise I'd have never known that they exist. Planning my trip now.
I came here this year and it was amazing. I didn't even get to see the whole zoo but it was still one of if not the best zoo i've ever been in
I wish I could afford to go see this in real life it's amazing, we don't have anything like it in England
Yes you do it's chester zoo
Got my own private tour a couple of years ago and got to go into the penguin exhibit and feed the sharks. Truly an awesome aquarium!
The Georgia aquarium is the the *LARGEST in the USA.
Mitch is wildly funny. What a guy.
@@Blondi6731 it is. And the croc is leucistic.
Mitch absolutely needs to be a tour guide!
As a kid i was aww struck by the underwater tunnel. Now being much taller it has lost its charm, but still really cool.
How could you not be impressed isn't it the largest aquarium in the world??? (Or one of) It's not like we can see through the ocean 🌊 itself.... I am deeply impressed I love aquariums. They are so beautiful and fascinating 🙏♥️😊👍😎🐟🐠
The couple that donated the money for this aquarium were early investors in Berkshire Hathaway. In addition, he was the CEO of the Peter Kiewit Construction Company which is one of the largest construction companies in the world. Philanthropy like this has created an amazing and beautiful aquarium that millions of people can enjoy and learn about marine life.
Amazing video man! How do you start to become a professional aquarist? I’ve had tanks my whole life and I really want to expand on it I truly enjoy it. I would like to eventually have a pond/aquarium company but I’m not sure what how to make that happen.
Mitch seems like a guy you would like to have a beer with but he wouldn't show up.
Best zoo ever. Been there a million times, never gets old.
I went there 3 times previously because of work and it is absolutely awesome. Animals look so much more happy. Hands down best Zoo. I was in love the the aquarium. I highly recommend.
Mitch is the type of guy that if he were a teacher(Which he kind of is), you don't wanna disappoint him.
If anyone is in school and you have a grumpy teacher that isn't afraid to roll his/her eyes and tell you how bad you are. Stay close to that teacher, don't go to the teachers that go "Ooh such a good job, but try this, but don't change a thing!". No, go to the teacher that tells you "That's wrong, you suck, redo it!" You will not just learn the thing but get a stronger confidence. Find your Mitch and stay close to him.
Mitch!! Best tour guide ever!🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
"or maybe ima go clock out and leave and leave you guys like wuhhhhh"😂😂😂😂
This is my zoo! I love it when our amazing zoo and aquarium is highlighted.
Nebraska is one of the few states I haven’t visited. Now I have a legit excuse to visit.
i visited this zoo with my family a couple years back and its definitely one of the coolest experiences ive ever had. I've been to a ton of zoos but none of them were quit like this one
very glad I found this video, I grew up going to this zoo, and the best part of it is easily the aquarium. one of my favorite places on earth honestly!
How appropriate that this was posted on my husband's birthday. He's gotten me into saltwater aquariums. This place is amazing and now on my list of places to visit.
Mitch is a cool dude who loves his job too much.
