@DutchBiker you're welcome! I struggled with that too at first until I thought more full scale. Just like 1/6 scale collectable figures. They're all 12 inch roughly, with shorter people being 10in and tall people being around 14-16in. I use to get mad that they weren't all the same height, until I thought about real people lol! A tenth scale civic will be way smaller than a 10th scale jeep, or 10th scale trophy truck (real trophy trucks make normal cars look comically small side by side lol) 🤷♂️

My closest track is 3 hours away :( so I get stuck ripping at softball and baseball fields 80% of the time. If ever win lottery, putting in a solid shop with RC Track...Us small towns need something.
I personally have not seen or driven a Lasernut but have actually raced with the Tenacity DB Pro, it is an amazing machine and I am very happy that Amber has finally seen the light! Have fun with those dishes Joe!

Hey Clinton! As a matter of fact, yes we have blown one stock tire then upgraded to the tires on it now more suited to the track and boy what a huge difference it made to its handeling! So much nicer around the rack with propper track tires! May show the gluing of some tires in a future video 😉

Right now I have axial yetis the 1/10 and the xl. I want the lasernut but see so many people and even shops staring me away from it. I am in shops and ask about it and they have it on the shelf and tell me there are differential problems

No offense if you heavily vested in Nitro ok...But in 2022 I think Nitro kinda died compared to electric, being honest. So little new content out with Nitro, plus little traction at tracks. Please don't get all offended and butthurt ok, just my opinion.
I bought a Lazernut and sold it to many issues the db pro is a better rig for the purpose of rock racing which both we're designed for not bashing, cool video guy's 😎👍

Fun 😃. I have both and love them. This was fun to watch but I could have told you the results and I think you knew as well. They are two different vehicles. The DB pro is a track beast and FAST. The Lasernut is slower by a bit, but would handle off road much better. One rough surfaces and rocks the Lasernut is a beast and is so easy to drive. The DB pro is faster and harder to handle off road. Tow great cars. Take care of those 😋
12mm Hex on db pro meh...Garbage Servo meh...Need about $250 of upgrades to get it to a solid track performer. But imo that's not a deal breaker, ordering mine next week.
To be honest you should have replaced the arm on the laser not to have a proper comparison and also replace the back driveshaft on the front make sure both cars are running at 100% to give a proper opinion and review but I love your channel

I have the 3S, that's been heavily, heavily upgraded. Like after all this time has over $1750 in just upgrades, but more a pimped out 4S now, and I mean awesome car, and for over $2k in this RC, it should be to. It was my 1st RC, so always has a place in my heart I guess.

Lasernut seems to be a money pit. Usually root for Amber but this time was rooting for db pro, so that was a win, win for me. Big question please give me your opinion Mojave, big rock, or xmaxx for my next r/c ? I have slash 4x4, db pro, kraton 6s kyosho inferno, trx4 sport, 2wd rustler and a summit, 4wd granite, looking for something different/next level.
The Lasernut isn't really an "official" basher. Hardcore bashing/jumping results in broken parts (1/10th scale in a near 1/8 the scale size and made with mostly the same parts as the Tenacity) and requires subsequent upgrades to the drive shafts and outdrives, steering linkage, bearings, bumpers, and servo (as mentioned in the video). For racing it's definitely better to remove the spare tire and add a rear bumper if desired. I've even redrilled the chassis and moved the battery tray forward and put the ESC and receiver in the rear which keeps it much cleaner in snow drift sessions. One negative is that the body kit is $70 which is pretty pricey for plastic, but it does hold up well with the minimal and sturdy size. I can envision a V2 edition getting some beefed up parts to fix some issues. Optional wider arms would also be nice due to the higher COG. A great car overall regardless of necessary upgrades.
I bought a large luggage set off Amazon with wheels and pull out handle. Has tons of pockets and awesome was like $90 but carries the RC, batteries, and all my tools...Perfect for on the road for me.

If feel it's a money pit, and not happy, and having regrets. I'd fix it honestly, and attempt to sell, and recoup some money, and then buy what you think would be a RC for you. With that said, RC in general isn't a "Cheap" hobby, and all brands / models have thier shortcomings and cost. Just being honest.

They’re both different classes of vehicles. The Lasernut is a rock racer and the DB pro is a buggy racer. With that being said the DB pro is going win in a dirt track. Now switch it up and do a king of the hill race, I bet that DB pro won’t make it.
You know what turned me against Losi....20 years ago going to the race tracks and all the snobby - asshole guys drove them...threw all mine away and never looked back.
Losi is known for thier tuning, arrma has prettier designs. But, being honest Arrma & Losi kinda under same umbrella "Horizon"...Alot of Losi and all Arma have Spectrum electronics, find that unique? The Typhon TLR is another example.
Yes we do! Just about to publish a video on some perfect RC's for kids and beginners! The next step up would be something like a traxxas slash or a arrma granite 🍻
For $229 the Arrma Mega is a great option, and when ready buy the 3S upgrade kit for like $100...So they can literally grow into the RC hobby affordably...Just my opinion
I saw that amber was using a iphone. In my opinion the s21 ultra beats the iphone 12 pro max in almost every way. It has features that even the next iphone will not have like adaptive refresh rate, 1,500 nits, 100 times zoom, 108 megapixel camera, 8K video, the smallest hole punch, on any phone, reverse wireless charging, recording from three cameras at the same time, single take mode and a macro camera. There are many more but I cannot remember them right now. When you see these features on the iPhone 14 do not think that Apple made these features because like usual they are just stealing the features from the last Samsung. Wach the video 5 ways that the Samsung s21 ultra destroyes the iphone 12 pro max. The next iphone will not have a chargeing port. Wireless charging takes twice as long to charge as wired charging wile using 74% more power and heat. Type c can charge over 20 times faster as well

Agree those arms do seem very weak, for a $500+ RC...Wonder if RPM makes alternatives for this RC or the DB Pro.

The 10 scale parts are way to little for the 8th scale size and weight. I have the db pro, way better distribution and way better basher!

The Lasernut isn't really an "official" basher. Hardcore bashing/jumping results in broken parts (1/10th scale in a near 1/8 the scale size and made with mostly the same parts as the Tenacity) and requires subsequent upgrades to the drive shafts and outdrives, steering linkage, bearings, bumpers, and servo (as mentioned in the video). For racing it's definitely better to remove the spare tire and add a rear bumper if desired. I've even redrilled the chassis and moved the battery tray forward and put the ESC and receiver in the rear which keeps it much cleaner in snow drift sessions. One negative is that the body kit is $70 which is pretty pricey for plastic, but it does hold up well with the minimal and sturdy size. I can envision a V2 edition getting some beefed up parts to fix some issues. Optional wider arms would also be nice due to the higher COG. A great car overall regardless of necessary upgrades.

I bought a large luggage set off Amazon with wheels and pull out handle. Has tons of pockets and awesome was like $90 but carries the RC, batteries, and all my tools...Perfect for on the road for me.

I have a TLR SCTE 2.0 and put a DB PRO body on it.

LOVE YOU GUYS! HELP RC 911 Have a lazer nut sitting on a shelf do to a bent front shaft after 1 light run. I have enough money pits lol. Anyone have any experience with the lazernut? Sell it or fix it. I bought techno shafts not installed yet.
If feel it's a money pit, and not happy, and having regrets. I'd fix it honestly, and attempt to sell, and recoup some money, and then buy what you think would be a RC for you. With that said, RC in general isn't a "Cheap" hobby, and all brands / models have thier shortcomings and cost. Just being honest.

They’re both different classes of vehicles. The Lasernut is a rock racer and the DB pro is a buggy racer. With that being said the DB pro is going win in a dirt track. Now switch it up and do a king of the hill race, I bet that DB pro won’t make it.
True, not with that RTR servo, and tires. But drop new Servo and better wheel / tire package and bet it give it a heck of a run.
You know what turned me against Losi....20 years ago going to the race tracks and all the snobby - asshole guys drove them...threw all mine away and never looked back.
Oh almost forgot.....now its Arrma all the way...yeah baby.
Losi is known for thier tuning, arrma has prettier designs. But, being honest Arrma & Losi kinda under same umbrella "Horizon"...Alot of Losi and all Arma have Spectrum electronics, find that unique? The Typhon TLR is another example.

For $229 the Arrma Mega is a great option, and when ready buy the 3S upgrade kit for like $100...So they can literally grow into the RC hobby affordably...Just my opinion

I saw that amber was using a iphone. In my opinion the s21 ultra beats the iphone 12 pro max in almost every way. It has features that even the next iphone will not have like adaptive refresh rate, 1,500 nits, 100 times zoom, 108 megapixel camera, 8K video, the smallest hole punch, on any phone, reverse wireless charging, recording from three cameras at the same time, single take mode and a macro camera. There are many more but I cannot remember them right now. When you see these features on the iPhone 14 do not think that Apple made these features because like usual they are just stealing the features from the last Samsung. Wach the video 5 ways that the Samsung s21 ultra destroyes the iphone 12 pro max. The next iphone will not have a chargeing port. Wireless charging takes twice as long to charge as wired charging wile using 74% more power and heat. Type c can charge over 20 times faster as well
