The delay is alright because it's not get in the way in his solos..The chorus ruins everything.I think his best tone and distortion is on the video from 2008 "in the studio with john petrucci"In that video, his high gain sound is just savage,

I've never heard Guthrie Govan use effects like that, he doesn't have to do that shit to blow your mind. Or Paul G, or many more to speak of! I love JP but I prefer a little more organic ballsy tone without all those FX.
why is he consider so amazing, I mean check youtube for many you g players that take the tech ique to new levels and dimensions, this is guy seems solid, but not extraordinary or ground-braking, please somebody educate me, no ofense
His technique and tone has gotten a lot worse over the years... He was at his best in the second half of the nineties and around the scenes from a memory tour... But still I would kill for this guitar...
