I’m a believer in deck paint, it’s very thick and durable! I used it on some leveling jack boards for my RV and it’s still going strong after 10 years in the AZ sun, they are not store inside when not in used so they have been exposed the entire time! You may want to look into that to paint the entire exposed wood and door. Behr products Home Depot
I really like what your doing but that roofing job is not even close on how to lay shingles, it’s actually pretty easy and it tells you how on the back of the shingle package. You would be much better suited with a peice of epdm rubber roofing glued on and wrapped under and nailed underneath a lot of shingle supply houses will pretty much give u a small peice of that stuff. You could also use some roof and foundation tar liquid on the sides.
Thanks for the tips! Maybe I'll try that next time. I will probably get some tar to seal up some areas. Really shouldn't be shingles in the first place but it's a really small area so won't kill me if I have to try your suggestion later.
if you would give the sun time heat those shingles they will glues themselves to other shingles. Wouldn't needed to be nailed dow to keep from dangling when you open the door.
You must be busy lately ( no videos ) and not much time in the day to do 1,999 things ! Lol. Root cellar looks great ! What time of the year can you hunt hogs ?

Looks great. I wonder if a multi programmable battery powered thermostat could be just to during the warmest time of day be able to turn one fan.
That's a good idea. I'll look into that. Thanks!

Good point! We have plenty of hot sun in the summer.

Thanks! Year round for hogs. I need to be more consistent with putting the corn in the feeder though. That way I get some predictability from them.
@@24acresofparadise they are creatures of habit for sure !
