Mr. Bryan, thank you soooo much for making all these Nome videos! You have showed me so much more than I could find doing 'research.' I now know what materials, equipment, and tools I need to ship up there for my own trip this July, and what to expect and to specifically look for on the beach. That info is priceless. Hope I run into you up there this year, maybe you could show me around a little??? I'll buy ya a fancy beer. If you need to ship something up to Nome from Seattle, we have few containers leaving Seattle on May 12, 2023.
Thats a lot of fine gold just sitting below a fella's feet! Look forward to seeing the next spot, moving that box is a good idea. see you on the next one👊
Put the end of your intake in a bucket secure with a bit of wire . Put bucket in ocean bucket fills with water turn pump on..no sand . I use this in muddy streams
Bryan, Can you all get out on the Cripple river, The GPAA used to have a large camp out there. I don't know if it's still in operation or not. But I found good gold there in the early 90's. Thanks for a great episode.
I feel like because your running fines, you would really benefit from using miners moss, even just 1 section of your sluice. Folks all over the world go and dig gold on beaches and set up extremely primitive sluice boxes, but how they succeed is the miners moss and running lots of material and all by hand. 👍
That's still not bad. I'd take it all day long. Those beaches look like a sweet place to hang out and make gold that's forsure! Hope you guys have a good season on the boat!
And if its so easy to find near the top of the sands... I'd figure away to use my vehicle to drag something in the sand to classify something in a sleuth to get the gold. Wish I was up there with you!!!!
Make the "vehicles" effort/power/pull ..used to power a treadmill up into a sleuth maybe. I see these beach videos and realize there's tons of gold up and down those beaches and out into the water. There's a better way!
Just an idea and maybe you tried it already, but why couldn't you take an "inner tube" (what ever) and strap the end of your hose to it so it stays in the water and out of the sand? You could dedicate one section of your hose and leave it permanently attached and just fill in the rest to your sluice. Just thinking out loud:-)
Hey there! love the video! Walter went to Alaska last Sept. He's going back soon and again next year. We have a friend with a claim up there. Good luck to you guys and Git Dat GOLD! ⚒⚒
Thanks Bryan. I would be curious to know if you could dry vacuum up the high grade beach sands. It would be like using a river dredge with water, but with a dry vacuum supplying the material. A shop vac on steroids would work, even though you might have to shut it off briefly to spill the material into a dredge hopper.
I'm thinking of bringing my Ryobi battery operated vacuum, connected to 5 gallon bucket cyclone, just shut off to move cyclone lid to next 5 gal. bucket. Rinse and repeat, boom buckets full, then move bucket to stand next to high banker auto feed slowly with water hose in bucket, one after the other.
Not really bad for a nice day on the beach working for yourself. Here in Michigan I am aiming for half a gram in a day once I fine tune my beach sluice.
2 grams for 2 hours is more then good for where i pan lol. Great vid, it was a blast to see how you guys do your stuff and to see really how rich Alaska really is.
Bring your box closer to your work I never was any more than 3 steps from my outfit . It was easy to move and on wheels . Lots of Proper prospecting helps loads . On river sand bars I would dig shallow shovel wide trenches perpendicular to the waters edge and away from the water. The trenches would be about 10 feet apart . one would shovel the skimmed material into a pan till full . pan then continue . This method would delineate your pay streak .Flour gold was what was the target and one would look for 150 -200 colors per pan before setting up . Material was classified on a curved 1/4" screen Collecting the flour gold was 98% caught on just old wool blanket NO riffles . Yes it works in fact the wool blanket tray was on a 24degree angle . Although the sluice was set up to catch other types of gold . It seems in your area beach mining, one looks for garnet and a layer of clay ? .
Been a while Bryan. Great to see you out again even if you aren't dredging. Beach mining, is really a different way of finding gold. @ grams/ hour is just right. Thanks for sharing with the community.😎⛏⛏🔥🔥
Hi, Bryan. Hi, Gary. You guys are the hardest working crew in Nome. I love watching your videos. I like the show with Vernon. You guys must really enjoy what you do. I always wish you a lot of luck. After a while, there's a whole pile. How big is the largest nugget you have ever found? Do you keep a lot of your savings in gold? Thanks for your time and effort in bringing this video to me.

High risk (harsh conditions, hard work and a slice of luck here and there) - high reward reality show lol I'm curious, is there a black market for -gold- *sand* in Nome? Blink twice if 'yes'
