The first PC I ever bought was an OEM PC from Gateway back in 2009. It served its purpose for several years with its powerful Core 2 Quad CPU, and allowed me to make some upgrades (such as adding several PCIe cards like Wi-Fi and half height/single slot GPUs). It also had the ability to upgrade RAM and storage. Its biggest limitations were the small PSU (220w) and the fact it could only accept single slot half height GPUs.
This lead me to go down the DIY route ever since, so that I could configure things exactly to my liking. However, I did enjoy the all in one package deal that the first pre-built I ever bought offered...
