I am from the Netherlands. I serve stroganoff with rice, thinly slices deepfried patatoes (chips or crisps), chopped parsley and raw red diced onion. I am going to try some miso in my sauce, that sounds great. In my recipe I add smoked paprika, wostershiresauce and garlic. And crème fraiche instead of cream.It is a family favorite😊

I’m from Wisconsin and grew up eating Beef Stroganoff quite frequently. It always included a lot of onions & garlic, along with the mushrooms and we would add a bit of Worcestershire sauce and then sour cream. Served over egg noodles. I haven’t made it in a long time and now I’m curious to try your version. I love Miso and I bet it adds a depth of Umami flavor. I also like the way you cooked the Beef. We would cook it in little strips and while it was tasty , it usually was dried out, especially when reheated. Love your videos. ❤

Hello from Las Vegas! I got a deal on sirloin ball tip steak, which I wrapped into smaller portions and froze. I think it will suit for this dish. I’ve always used sour cream for stroganoff, and stirred a bit of flour into the sour cream before adding it. I always keep heavy cream in my fridge because it makes it easy to create a special dish on the fly. I will try Marion’s version using half heavy cream and half sour cream 😊
So excited about this dish! Making it this Wednesday. I’ve made the Japanese curry udon and the char sui pork with fried rice (my 6 year old LOVED the pork/fried rice so it’ll definitely be made again and again!)
I made stroganoff today for dinner, but it was a crockpot meal and served over mash. I did sear my beef first before it went in the crockpot. I will have to try this one.

I love the way you present these videos! I'm watching from a pittoresque Dutch town called Voorschoten (near the coast, next to Leiden, approx 80 km south of Amsterdam). I'm definitely making this soon, but I think I would marinate the meat a little longer than showed in the video, but overall your cooking style should be an inspiration to all who are watching! Especially, the you don't have to be a hero cracked me up a lot. I still have some Calf bones in the freezer for my 3 day long beef broth project, but I catch myself regularly buying premade stock in the store... Finally a suggestion: in the Netherlands we have something called ``X-stamppot'', basically a stew consisting of veggie X and potatoes served with some meat (like fried bacon or a juicy meatball and a ``jus''). I'd love to see your take on it. Lots of love and keep it going!

I grew up with Stroganoff using ground beef (mince), mushrooms, sour cream, a bit of sweet chili sauce and Worcestershire sauce (does anything scream more 80s America than that?). thought I'm cutting down a lot on red meat, this looks worth the indulgence. delicious!

Ive been doing my stroganoff in the slow cooker and it makes the beef pull apart tender but im going to switch it up a bit and try your recipe next time!
I love your way and your recipes Marion, even though I don’t like the dish or the ingredients, it inspires me to cook and to make new things. This looks so delicious, some people use a dollop of sour cream too. I’m not a fan of red meats that way or a creamy sauce, might try it for guests. Also I get excited about caramelised mushrooms and anything caramelised 😝😃
