    My mother made my father beef stroganoff basically every year for his birthday that I can remember. I decided to take a crack at stroganoff with your recipe. He leaned over and whispered, “don’t tell your mother, this is the best stroganoff I’ve ever had “

      I always make my husband his favorite - lasagna - for his birthday, along with homemade garlic French bread, salad, veggies from our garden and German chocolate cake or Black Forest cake, depending on what mood he's in. Our youngest daughter's favorite dinner is Kluski (ours is made with homemade hot and spicy sausage, cabbage and kluski noodles, sp&g), and now she makes it for her husband's birthday too, since it is his favorite meal ever now. Our oldest daughter's tastes changed every year, so it was something different every year. Always dark chocolate cake with ganache for dessert.

    Chef Jean Pierre is a miracle worker. I made this for the family today. Not only did everyone love it, but my nine year old son was so impressed that he not only wants to take it to school as his lunch tomorrow, but next time I make it, he wants to help so he can learn.

    • @aicarnie
      @aicarnie ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @nevastrong2850 Yes. He regularly wants to help make food now. His favourite is a simple homemade tomato sauce, homemade meatballs, and pasta. He has asked for a pasta machine for Christmas. My eldest son (13) makes a mean spicy sausage rice dish every Monday for dinner. He even adapted the original Gordon Ramsey recipe to add additional spices and Nduja sausage.

      That's awesome! It's great when kids get excited about being in the kitchen with you. I taught my kids how to cook at a very early age, and taught them how to make their own butter and breads, desserts, etc. When they got to about 5-6, they had a lemonade stand with cookies they helped make (they did all the mixing and rolling, and I did the baking for obvious reasons). My youngest is now an awesome stepmother and last night told me that her daughter named her favorite dish I used to make for them. Basically, it's macaroni and cheese, chili beans, ground beef, corn and rotel tomatoes. The name she came up with - "Macaroni Mayhem"! I love it!

    Not only do you get a cookery lesson but you also get a history lesson about the food, not many chefs do that which is a shame as l think you should know some history about the food you eat. And, as always, chef Jean-Pierre is brilliant doing both. His channel is the best on TH-cam and if you are not watching it then you are missing out even if you don’t or can’t cook you will be inspired to by chef Jean Pierre. I hope you make more recipes as l could watch and listen to you cook all day. Live long and happy chef Jean-Pierre 😊
