This is a very informal and great video. The details about the bike are spot on, and answered all my questions as if i should put my fiancé on one, thanks!
Im 40 (just over 200lbs) and I’m looking for a trail bike that I could take out a few times a year (living in the Midwest ) this might be a perfect bike for my needs.
Im 40 as well , i just got into dirt bikes 3 years ago , 2009 ttr 230 was my fist bike , I recommend this bike 100% , after you get used to the power and want a little more power , just uncork the bike and it gets more responsive awesome to drive , good luck
Just bought a 2024 ttr230 yesterday, still learning how to use a clutch. suck at taking off keep stalling it in first while stopped but once i get going im fine. Any tips?
Try not releasing the clutch lever until the bike starts moving slowly. Once you have a bit of forward motion, give it a bit more gas and then release that last fraction of an inch of the clutch lever.
You’ve got a knack for getting to the point! I appreciate the pace of this video. Great job!
Awesome bike review. As always, great insight on the bike from Jimmy Lewis
we'll discuss on tech Talk Taco Tuesday #208

What’s your weight?

I wish the xt250 still had the xt225/ttr230 motor. The lighter weight and 6th gear would be nice on the xt250.

👍
Unlike the clay pistons inside the Austrian bikes, I hear Yamaha makes TTR pistons out of concrete. Makes one almost miss the XR400. Almost...
NICE!
