what is it about the “Kirkland Signature Multi-Purpose Disinfecting Solution” that helps clean their eyes? have 2 Maltese, one has tearing issues while the other doesn't. Trying to find something that works, tried "angel eyes" but it did not work.
Hi, I use multi-purpose contact lens solution that contains boric acid, applied to a cotton round. That’s it 😊. Any brand is okay. Currently, we are using Opti-Free. However, we use this to clean the eyes, but it can’t remove the tear stains. In my experience, tear stains are impossible to eliminate. The only solution is to trim them off. Also, it’s necessary to determine the root cause of why the little one is tearing up: food allergies, water, or something else.
I use a whiting shampoo and tooth brush from Walmart. Hand rinse with wet warm rag downward so no shampoo get in the eyes. After drying put corn starch under eyes and that repeals the stain from getting so dark when put on dry hair. Also helps brush out knots close to the skin when the hair is long. Helps my 11/2 year old Maltese. 😍

For my maltese, osmosis water and the tears is gone after 4 years trying everything.
Its mainly due to the food they eat. If you control it it will be ok

This solution is a cleaning solution for contact lenses. Wouldn't it harm the dog's eyes?
