    how often would you have to do this process to make the Maltese here white around the eyes?

    Thank you for explaining about possibly having to use antibiotics. I don't have my puppy yet , but I'm preparing for all problems that may accrue.

    Wow. She cleared up pretty good for just 12 days. I am definitely going to try these product. My Maltese Bella just turned a year and she recently got her baby fangs surgically removed. I noticed she is tearing much less now and her hair is whitening on the roots. I dream of the day her face is white again. Thank you so much for making these videos. The information you share is priceless

      Hello Jennifer and 💕Bella💕 Dental health surely does play a role in tear stains. Glad to hear you see that once those baby teeth cam out that her tearing has subsided. We love making friends, which is why we put ourselves out here. Thanks so much for watching and visiting with us. Happy March Weekend!!!🌷

    My dog does not have any tear stain issues at all. Should I be protecting her skin around the eyes. My philosophy is that if it ain't broke, why fix it.

    My New Cozy Belle is 7 months old now and has bad trier stain on her eyes and face, is that just her age? is she still teething? I have made a solution of milk of magnesia with hydrogen peroxide 50/50 plus cornstarch, is that ok? i'm still a bit weary of this solution, I just cut the fur all around her eyes, I also have a large gallon or two Walmart type water container that is plastic, I put apple cider vinegar in it each time I replace the water that I wash every time very well, I'm wondering is all this ok?

    I would start off with warm water first...get as much off as possible...then on to the solution then with water again..then with cleaner then with cream and then the powder..save on products.

    What products did you use for her tear stains

  • @carolhern
    @carolhern 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    So were all the products used on both sides for the 12 days? Or was it the same as day 1, where one side got just the Artero and the other side got the 4 step process.

    • @MalteseObsessionMO
      @MalteseObsessionMO  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Her mom ended up using only the Artero, and skipped a few days here and there ...

    Miss, i get a Maltese puppy in 2 months 🤗
    Do you Recomended Hard Glass bowls for food and water to prevent tair stains ?
    Please response please

    • @MalteseObsessionMO
      @MalteseObsessionMO  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Safe glass is great, but around puppies glass bowl would need to be a heavier/thicker glass bowl that the puppy would not be able to tip over and break. A good quality ceramic would be good too, as long as there are no cracks or places where bacteria can hide and grow. Congratulations on your new puppy!

    Great video.
    The bottom line is, if you haven't got the time to keep on top of your Maltese's tear stains then don't get a Maltese in the first place. It's not the dogs fault, it's the owners lack of care that leads to it getting really bad.
    Summer is adorable. I hope her owner kept up the care after you helped her

      I have a white mini Schnauzer with tear stains. Maltese's are not the only one that gets tear stains. My Daughter has a white chihuahua that has tear stains. I'm think all white dog have tear stains.

    i really think tear staining is due to genetics. I have a maltese with minimal tear staining and I do nothing special. He has a few streaks down the eyes and no staining around the mouth. He eats out of a ceramic bowl and drinks out a plastic dish. I wash his eyes with baby soap and a soft toothbrush once a week.

    I just started using SHOW premium clarity face wash + clarity stain remover + therapy coat leave in conditioner to treat my Maltese tear stains. In your opinion is the step 3 (cream) similar to SP therapy coat? wondering if I still need the complete system? Would you personally still recommend switching to the Pure paws. I don’t mind the extra expense-or only getting the powder will be ok. SP also has two powder (1 absorption powder/1 cover up powder). But I want both benefits-PW love my eyes does both, correct?

      Hi there - SHOW Premium has an excellent line up of products and if you are already using their collection of products, then I would continue to do so. I would recommend to add their Doggone white powder to your routine to keep the hair from absorbing new tear stains (after you cleanse and condition). Best of luck and thanks for visiting us!

    What is your take on Tylan

      @jillk2316 ปีที่แล้ว

      well, im a nobody :) But ;) Years ago, i used i believe the "angel eyes" or one of those that had the Tylan for my Bulldog. They cleared up after i believe 2 weeks treatment and 6 years down the road now and i never have had to use again (good thing as it's not easy to get now a days from what i hear) and his face is perfectly perfect all these years. It seems i just needed to end the cycle. so thats that :)

    How about they dont let the m get stained at all? Purified water, glass bowls, lamb based food, comb twice a day wipe face after eating even feeding a tsp of plain yogurt
    This looks like they never cared at all, my goodness

      You never know the situation...We just adopted a 13 month old maltese retired breeder (too small to breed) and our dog looked just like this when we picked her up. The breeder lived in the country with very hard water and did not take the time to care so meticulously for the dogs she didn’t intend to sell.

    Tear stain can be avoided, if the dog face is kept dry and cleaned all the time. Also genetics plays a role, some dogs just tear more than others.

      Hello and congratulations on your new baby to LOVE and be LOVED by. Cozy Belle is definitely of teething age, so we recommend cleaning her eyes with warm water and then drying with a very soft soft kleenex tissue. Soft bathroom toiler tissue can create a lot of dust, so the softest kleenex is better. Cotton 2x2" gauze is also great for dabbing the eyes dry. Hydrogen peroxide is definitely not a good idea for several reasons. First it is very dangerous for this solution to get in the eyes or the mouth. Second, the peroxide will strip the hair of it's natural coating leaving it very susceptible for stains to stick to the hair shafts. The hair is permanently damaged by hydrogen peroxide, just as it would do the same to our human hair.
      Gentler alternatives would be warm water, contact solution that has boric acid as a top ingredient and the newer options for cleaning would be the Pretty Eyes by Artero or the Love My Eyes by Pure Paws.
      Hope that helps and we send a shower of hugs and kisses to your new baby Cozy Belle!😘
