@GoMidwestFishing hahah don't worry man everyone's found it accidentally!! especially that time of year! In summer time the sandbar is actually visible and the line of boats hangout and people partying our there make it easier to see!
I grew up on the Gulf Coast fishing my whole life. Now I live in the Midwest and have no idea what I'm doing with fresh water. Keep up the great work, I'm hoping to get back out there thanks to this channel.
Thanks for stopping by Heather. If you are looking for lakes to fish, I've filmed well over 100 lakes now in the midwest. I also give more lake info at gomidwestfishing.com Good luck out there!
@@rossbabcock3790 Musky sounds fun! We have a stocked lake here with bass, walleye, and catfish, I just need to get out there and see what I can do! Once they start biting, I'll be hooked again. That bait is all different from what I'm used to.
As always an amazing video my Man! I’m sorry if I didn’t understand the title of this video, I hope one day I can have a fishing trip ridiculous like this, I wasn’t even able to count how many fish I caught. :)
Hi Fernando. We were catching so many fish, that at one point I had mentioned how ridiculous it was. Its not very often we catch them like this, but it was a lot of fun!
That lake will humble the best of fisher-person. The flood and heat kill from years back really changed the lake. You really have to spend a lot of time to learn that lake. Once you have it figured out you can consistently catch big fish. It is a great fishery.
@@GoMidwestFishing if your fishing for big pike go to the anishinabe bay and the buzzard bay, use either spinners or dare devils, I catch consistently giant pike in there each week ranging from 14-38inch pike. Some top waters work too. Edit: my pfp is a pic of one of the many giant pike I’ve caught there
Hey Dpuck. The only reason Reggie gets to catch the first fish is because I'm too busy unpacking and setting up a whole movie set. At least that's what it feels like. One of these days I will be able to hire a film crew to do it for me. That's what I keep telling myself...
I really enjoyed your video. Thinking of buying a cabin on Big Sandy Lake in Aiken, MN. I fish Walleye and Northern but I'm a big Bass fisherman, large or small mouth, but I never see anything about Bass on this lake. I've read there are bass but in small numbers. Can anyone clear this up for me? Thank you.
Don't remember a Northern bite that hot.....I've got a couple of identical Traps but I never have enough water....From the available facilities I'd have to bring all the bells and whistles back to that location!!😎
Hey Christian. Apparently I missed it! I was at the northwest sportsman show last weekend. I probably should have gone to the musky expo instead. Did you have a booth again?
So I grew up on Big Sandy Lake and the people that own the ferry to get to that island is actually Wayne Floe the owner of Floe internationals ! Every aluminum dock on that lake you'll see has the "Floe" emblem on it! He also has a badass fireworks show for the entire lake Every 4th of July from that island!
Hi Michael. These gloves are awesome. Reggie got us some. I'm not sure where he got them. They help keep our hands form getting sunburned, and make it easier to handle the fish. I couldn't find the exact ones, but these are similar: amzn.to/3mWvxa4
According to the MN DNR, it says it has musky in Big Sandy. I normally don't see any musky in a lake with this many northern, so I was wondering about that.
Also you got beached on the infamous "sandbar" which is a HUGE party spot in the summer time!!😂
Ahhh... so you know that sandbar. That was me just discovering it for the first time.
@GoMidwestFishing hahah don't worry man everyone's found it accidentally!! especially that time of year! In summer time the sandbar is actually visible and the line of boats hangout and people partying our there make it easier to see!
So looking forward to the wormwetther for sure cracking job brother
I'm not sure the warm weather is ever coming. We just got another 8 inches of snow and more is on the way. I'm so ready for spring!

I grew up on the west coast. Good fishin' in Minnesota! I moved here in 98 and ended up with a bad case of Musky fever that won't let up!

@@heather9130 It's an expensive habit! But gratifying. I gave up my evil ways for Musky!

More pike than you could shake a stick at!! Wow!! So much action even the oreos got in the way at one point! 😂
You know the fishing is good when I switch from Cheetos to Oreos. They give me more energy to reel in those big ones.
Fun video good job finding the fish 🎣 in the wind 💨. Looks like a Great Lake for sure. Thanks From Wisconsin

Thanks for the info Tim. All we saw were northern pike. Have you had any luck fishing for other species here?

14:02 behind that little area of weeds is where I’ve caught most of the big pike
Great video my friend I'm looking forward to fishing this year
Me too! I will be pulling the boat out this week to get it ready, even though we still have 2 feet of ice on the lakes.
The little gators were chomping. Rande, what were you waiting for, get a line out there! 😝

Every once in a while we find a lake like this. Its a lot of fun, even though they run small, they still put up a good fight.
Looks like a great lake to get a young kid hooked on casting at! I love heavy pike action!
13:32 there is my maroon boat lift cover in Buzzards Bay
You'd be surprised how many times people see themselves or their house in my videos. Congrats! You made the video.
That would be an awesome lake for harvesting some pike for pickling! Did you try a whopper plopper on that lake?
I didn't try a whopper plopper because I didn't have one... I have one now 😁
Nice! Will you be at the Minnesota musky expo?

@GoMidwestFishing for sure i loved the video!! Thanks for letting me see the lake while I'm stuck at home working and cant be up north!😂😉
I went for his 4th of July party and met him

In the 60s there's no muskies in the lake !
I grew up going up to big sandy and catch northern (pike) and walleye
I hope this brought back some good memories. Its an awesome lake! Thanks for watching.
