Hi Rande! You explained everything very well, great review. Thank you for the good tips along the way. Beautiful underwater footage, and music choice. Great to see the fall foliage to! Hope you have a great week.
I was very excited to hit 10K. You can celebrate along with me since you helped make it happen. Its almost time start thinking of where we are going to ice fish this year.
I like that tripod alot. I carry the camera you sent me but do not use it alot until ice fishing. The areas I fish mostly I found the water is to dirty. But ice fishing the camera is Awesome!! Great reviews Rande!
I do find they work much better ice fishing. Water clarity is a must to get a good picture. We should have some good ice this year. I'm sorry I didn't get any time this summer to fish with you, but I usually have more time in the winter if you are up for some ice fishing.
Fantastic footage at the end. I see schools of fish 🐟 like that when I go scuba 🤿 diving and like to get them on video. My wife had a school of fish 🐟 followed her back to shore and I got it on video. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the 2 cameras 🎥. I’m going to check them out. Thanks From Wisconsin
Hi Robert. I'm thinking you need to start posting your scuba adventures on youtube. I would definitely watch that. I'm hoping to get scuba certified in the next couple years, as soon as my son is old enough to do it with me.
Great camera, probably the best right now in the market for the price. The only thing they missed is the 45 degree down camera position, that's probably the best angle in ice fishing. I guess you could reverse the camera slot direction and get a 45 degree down but.... not sure if that's the intended design.
That would be a neat feature, but like you said, it would add a lot of complexity and cost. Fish Pro has asked me for suggestions on ways to improve their products, so I can always ask.
Recently, I tried their tripod for ice fishing 8 inch hole. It falls right through the 8 inch hole. In their description it says tripod is good for up to 9 1/2 inch hole. Good quality tripod, except the legs need to expand out more. Planning to return it and buy aqua view tripod.
It has a wide angle lens, and a set distance focus, but everything seemed to be in focus no matter how far it was. They do make an auto-focusing camera that I did not review yet.
Looks like they provide a cost effective option to the more expensive fish cams. Good real world review!! 👍
Thanks Dave. They really are good camera's.

I appreciate that. I'm glad you liked it.
That looks like a nice camera! Congrats on hitting 10,000!

You know, I thought they did have a 45 degree down, but I just checked and you're right. Its a 45 degree up angle only.
Awesome ,
Another feature I’d like to see on the tripod is vertical movement of the camera. Probably would triple the price though!
Nice bunch of bluegills!

@ Thanks for suggesting it!
@GoMidwestFishing why could you ask those bozos to let us hook up to a larger external screen.
@@rvz77 They already do that. You need this part here: amzn.to/49vd20U

What was the viewing area/distance of the camera? And is it self focusing?

Too bad it doesn't have the dept and water temps
