The wattage of the xbone is higher from x360.. i think 200 for xbone and 135 for x360.. it well work for some time but not for long and it well burn the adaptor at the end... It is like draging a 2 horse caravan with only one horse...

True. I used a Xbox 360 Phat power supply. It worked for about 3 - 4 operations, now it just gets to the Xbox One boot screen and shuts off. So yeah, it's very temporary.

@@3absisoRA It did for a while. The power brick I used puts out 150w. But like I said, it gets to the green Xbox One boot screen now and than shuts off. I'll use the 203w next and test.

Like u say the first version 203w is a perfect match, the falcon,Jasper and slim are not powerful enough, they will work but they're being pushed.
It won't hurt the Xbox but the power supply will eventually fail.

the powerbrick from the 360 has more amperage on the rails , so no this wont work - even though it might look like it. you would need the newest and last produced 360 powerbrick if anything here are the details of the powerbrick of the X360E from 2014 ---> 120 W, 9,86 A - Xbox One has -----> Maximum Output Power: 135 W
----> Maximum Output Current: 10.83 A

It actually works fine. You can push volts but not amps. The system will only draw what it needs unless there is a dead short on the power rails internally. At this point the extra amps are the least of your concerns. You are better to use a brick with higher amps than lower if you have to. This way the device isn't starved for power.

Yes 360 had that problem too, xbox one s and up dont have a power brick so that problem is no more

i did this myself and it works for maybe a couple of hours then the power cuts out and the red light shows on power brick.. just go out and buy the correct power supply or your going to cause damage
