My new go to “oil” is actually a sweet potato sauce. It’s very nutritious, flavorful and has a way of coating the other vegan ingredients. I also make stock out of sweet potatoes, onions, celery etc.

I have been binge watching LOL. I just can't afford ya at the moment. I truly appreciate you and your knowledge! I think I have done it all! From phen phen(ask your mom), HCG, Atkins, Whole 30, Keto, major calorie restrictions (800-1000 a day) Eat like a bear, Optiva and worked my a--- off at a gym for 3 months to lose 1lb yes I said it 1! I was so exhausted and sore I quit. The list goes on. I have not had reduction surgery...yet... I can't afford that either.
I am 54 and I am a tired vegan! I am on B supplements. I don't have hunger pains anymore and just forget to eat. I need to set a timer on my phone to eat. I am stubborn and don't quit easy. All those diets mentioned above are over the past 27 years , I was on for a year or longer except that going to the gym thing (3-5days a week and 1200 cal diet) I just couldn't ... So hear I am lol jumping in with both feet. Don't worry I can swim. LOL

I am so thankful that I am healed from these ongoing pains in my back, knees, ankles . I was having trouble walking , climbing stairs
I had a thyroidectomy due to Graves’ disease because of an abusive situation I was in. Thankfully I’m recover from that but still left with pain
It wasn’t until I bumped into these videos that I tried eating the right way and truly within a few days, all the pain is gone. I’m now in well into week two and I have lost 9.6 pounds

Once you start complicating the eating then you will start eating things you don’t need. Potatoes and my air fryer are the hand changes!!

Awesome teacher again Emmie ...you can break down and explain things so well! I have not been successful on this diet although vegan virtually my entire 57 years. I really have improved but an AHA moment is your take on fullness cues. I really think this is my problem as well then I totally can't stop eating 🙃 it seems ambiguous about HOW MUCH of things as there is a tendency to perhaps over eat. Thank you and maybe I would be interested in discussing further. Your hair omg 😲 looks so lovely 😍 👌

It works pretty well for me 😊 What‘s your opinion on miso? I understand it has a lot of sodium but I really love to have a bowl of miso soup as a starter. I usually make it with different types of veggies, mushrooms, wakame, sometimes some firm silken tofu. I would sometimes have it for breakfast and I get the impression that it helps my well-being in general and my gut health in particular

For someone so healthy im surprised you use a microwave! I ditched mine years ago and do nicely with a Cuisinart Steam Convection Oven; same size, sits on the same shelf; way healthier, food tastes way better. my brand new full size oven thats 2.5 yrs old has never even been cleaned once (its still 99% completely clean as new inside) bc i use the cuisinart 99% of the time. and the more fruit n potatoes etc i eat; the less i like meat and i definitely dont like oil, my body gives me grief every time i consume it.

Non-starch veggies have about 100 calories per pound. Fruit has around 200 calories per pound. Potatoes, corn, squash, oats have about 400 calories per pound. Whole grains, rice, and pasta come in around 500 calories per pound. Finally beans and legumes will be about 600 calories per pound. I hope this helps you.

I just started listening to your podcast on Spotify a few weeks ago and decided to watch your podcast on TH-cam. This is the first video that popped up. I like what you have to say, however I disagree with a couple of things.
First, I never have accepted that honey is an animal product, this is not true. Bees are not animals and they don't produce the honey like a cow produces milk. They merely collect the pollen from plants, the enzymes in their bodies mix with the pollen and then they store it in hives for future use where it is then collected for consumption by people.
Secondly, I can't believe someone who is so strict about what you put in your body and yet you use a microwave and recommend it to others. Microwave's have never been a good solution for heating food, they're only a convenience that should have never been so heavily used. Just saying, for someone who is so strict, why would you want to take chances like this?

  • @PrettySunShines
