It's very telling that when questioned(after the video), the Defendant said she had photos of the "living conditions", not "how it was left". And, she changed her story about there being trash and needing to pay for it to be cleaned. All of a sudden, after the video, there was "no trash" left behind. I saw the photos and thought the Plaintiff was in for it. Good thing she had the video. It's crazy how some people can lie so easily and change their story when evidence is later produced.

The minute the defendant was proven to be a liar the case should have been called. You shouldn't have to go to court to get your security deposit back, and it calls into question everything the landlord said.

Justifying the story to fit their desire, which is a fictional portrayal of reality. That’s what I told our boys when they were kids and lying to me. The landlord offering a room for rent by any tenant at $10,000/mo, and the tenant offering to rent a room from any landlord for $10/mo does not mean that any tenant is required to accept the landlord’s rate, or that any landlord is required to accept the tenant’s rate.
The landlord wants to charge as much as they can, and the tenant wants to pay as little as they can. There’s nothing remarkable or surprising about that. That’s a textbook arm’s length transaction.

As a punishment because the landlord lied under oath Judge Judy should have lowered the expenses related to the bathroom cause it she lied about the trash how can we believe her regarding the bathroom?

The landlord is a liar. She was going in that room without warning and taking close up pictures of specific messes then lied about it being nasty when she moved out to keep her money. JJ shouldn't have awarded her anything because the pictures are of a clean space and she exaggerated until the video was shown. She even tried to lie and say it was the move in video not knowing that videos are date/time stamped. She probably goes into every tenants room when they're not home looking through their things and looking for excuses to keep their money.
