One of the best parts of JJ’s show was Byrd’s dry interaction with her.
I’m happily surprised that he knows how to smile and laugh!
Byrd wasnt dry, he simply Knew how to act when spoken upon. He was not her friend, side kick, wingman, buddy, etc. He was also not a kiss ass...

@MollyM He is speaking HIS truth, and has the right to do so. I don't see it as him "firing off his moth to anyone who will listen." He started sharing his truth after the fans started asking about his absence. He's not saying anything negative about JJ; he's simply speaking his truth. He would be a foolish man to spread lies about a judge who could sue the pants off of him. JJ has never been one to hold her tongue. If he was lying, she would've spoken up by now. I CHOOSE to believe him, just as you choose not to. I'm not interested in debating about why I've extending words of encouragement to him. Judge Judy is one of my best TV judges . . I watched her through the yesrs . She seemed serlous , fair and promotes only justice .Sorry to see though where her own situation is concerned with her workers she falls short .

I’m right there with you with that train of thought. RESPECT is exactly what I found missing when it came to the way Officer Byrd was, summarily, dismissed without even a conversation.🤨

I think Judge Judy did Byrd dirty. How are you gonna work closely with someone for 25 years and then just disregard them like none of those years ever happened?... I understand she wanted to hire a cheaper bailiff but at least have the decency to include Byrd in the conversation.

Judge Judy had no say….. it’s the producers of the show who made the decision to get a bailiff who can walk faster than a slug

I agree with you she was dirty but really he said they never had a cup of coffee together she would make it seem like they’ve been friends for a long time. They’ve been working together for a long time. There’s a difference.

Byrd has a great and inspiring wife . They have an awesome attitude about life. He refrains from spreading negativity .He could have profited from His Judge Judy situation but he took the high road .No tell all interviews,no smear campaign .He remains loyal and kind . He also monitors his comments to get his point across without defaming anyone ( including his previous network production or coworkers ).The banter between he and his wife is so sweet. They Definitely support each other
Byrd has always been respectful and moved on in a very positive way. He'll always be blessed.

Quintessential Byrd. Sometimes stoic, often funny and never at a loss for words. He was so much a part of that show that the new Judy Justice show seems a little incomplete without him. Him and his wife make a great couple.

He does have a nice sense of humor a nice smile and everything but during her show I thought he always acted as though he was so annoyed with having to just go and get paperwork and bring it back to her he just didn't seem engaged in what was going on.

What I really liked about Byrd, and what prompted me to even watch this interview, was how calm and collected he was on the show. When asked to collect the evidence, in front of the audience and the cameras, and in the presence of an impatient Judge Judy that everyone was afraid of, he would take his own time to walk to the plaintiff/defendant and walk back to hand it over the Judge. He was very intentional about it. That impressed me very much.
I hope everything works out for both of you. It was a delight watching Byrd on Judge Judy.

If you look toward the last few years of Judge Judy when Byrd was on it, he acted like he was not happy, and did not show any more respect to anyone on the show any more than he had to,
I mean there was actually shots of him doing crossword puzzles while they were recording of the show.
I’m not saying that he did anything wrong but maybe Judge Judy didn’t do anything wrong either. I don’t think anybody will know the truth.

him and his wife are wonderful people they volunteer at a church that give out food every week very down to earth people him and his wife and he can sing they are helping poor people him, and his wife have a good heart. they are so nice.

I’m so happy I stumbled upon this interview! I haven’t seen Judge Judy for a long time, I don’t have cable and it not available to me right now. The relationship between him and JJ was so perfect. I’m happy to see Byrd so happy and am thrilled for him and his gorgeous wife. The way he was “let go” was not very nice but he is a gentleman in his handling of that situation.
