Nice video. The reason it is 5 carriages is because the platform at Lincoln can only fit 5 Azuma carriages, since they are much longer then the HST coaches, of which a 9 car HST could fit. There aren’t any planned platform extensions also. There is usually the occasion of a 9-car running on the first morning from Lincoln to London and the last evening from London to Lincoln
Not at all... the camera is suction cupped to the window hence feeling the bumps. The cabin is sound proof on the Diesel engines... certainly not a bad train and one that I enjoy travelling on
I Really Like the way you film this video with a part Train View and Window View, Well Done. I do a lot of this as well to. I do Branch Lines and part Mainline, haven't done full route yet, which hopefully I will do soon. By the way do you hold the camera or is there a tripod or recorded by hand. I would like to do hand's free rather than holding the camera for future videos.
Currently the timetable is built for the HST and Class 91s, a new timetable in December 2020 was meant to come into place to reduce journey times due to Azuma Speed. Due to COVID this has been delayed. When the full Azuma timetable comes in, train journey times will be reduced.

@@XDFRailRoadCooler First class is abysmal in these trains compared to the HST's. But yeah an SD40-2 hauling some pullmans would wipe the floor with these plastic shite excuses for trains for sure ;).

loooool none of my mates like the Azuma but I think its decent - better than the 91 but not as nice as the HSTs

I want to visit Lincoln cathedral for a wknd and wonder how to do it being a tourist? Is it easy or can it be done?
Lincoln is easy to get to, a few decent hotel options. Certainly not a bad choice for the weekend...
