@@Dave_Sisson The explanation for arguments and Peterborough is found in th-cam.com/video/01AJAWHNd5o/w-d-xo.html and for mention of what went wrong see th-cam.com/video/2TP3E0Scyhs/w-d-xo.html
I think that two things happened that day in Peterborough and the second (BBC) video gets the order wrong. Firstly, there was a missed connection due to a late incoming train, which was the departing train that you saw. They then decided to do a Vicki explores Peterborough, but perhaps she was late back for plan B leading to a further delay and the need to switch to plan C.
Frankly, how well Geoff and Vicki got on is a testament to the strength of what they have together. There must have been many times when they were tired and things went wrong, but it seems they took so much in their strides.

-And here we have the antique series 800 passenger trains of London and North Eastern Railway, which have been famous over the century, for giving a newtrain experience to the passenger.
      -Excuseme, what's "newtrain"?
-Newtrain is a term, brought to public in summer of 2019 by an old chap, called Geoff Marshall. Basically it means "excited beyound belief".
-Geoff Marshall, you mean the HSXL lines president?
-Yes, the same fellow, that brought us the famous HMU network.

@@ビスマルクビスマルク-s9f I do not understand English, so I will return it in Japanese. There is prosperity and decline in everything. The United Kingdom has made excellent use of a steam locomotive with train-like performance, which I think is a major cause of the decline so far. But you could notice that. She embraced shame and accepted railway technology in France, Germany, Italy, and Japan. That's a very courageous thing. But you know. That 50 years later, 100 years later that the world of railway kingdom will return to England. Certainly you have failed. Convert from a steam locomotive to a train. But you know. You know the solution when you make a mistake. That's the path England chose with the world's best brains. There is no reason to be wrong! You Britain has the best brains in the world!

Major timetable changes must be a headache for the timetablers, as GTR found out, I wonder do they still use a time/ distance graph to do it manually or have computers taken over? Which might explain last years cock ups, at least with a graph a glance will tell one there is two trains on the same track section at the same time, rather than wait for trains backing up on reds. At least a human can allow variable variables, a computer only follows a programme.

I find it funny that (then) British Railways went to great lengths to establish its brand and expunge the former big 4 identities. Now, decades later, the former big 4 identities re-emerge in all their glory but with a modern take which keeps them fresh and contemporary. Perfect for the new age.

Regarding the "elbow space": The best can be found on the German ICE trains (you can place a cup of coffee on them), while the worst are in my opinion on the Voyagers. The windows are so close to the seat you feel claustrophobic.

Gorgeous train. Geoff, they have that fancy machine because pouring hot water from a kettle would be dangerous. You can buy fancy dispenser machines for the home, they cost £500. But they are really for making the fancy coffees. Dispensing hot water for tea is one of their minor tasks.

Also I've been on the Class 800 (the GWR variant) and I actually don't really like them. I prefer the older HST's because (imo) they are more comfortable as passengers are separate from the power, hence making a quieter and less vibrating ride when they power up the diesel.
