We love this as our family’s alternate car to our existing ICE SUV. Leased for $0 down (our state’s sales tax has to be prepaid for all car sales) and only $149/month. With low EV operating and practically zero maintenance expenses, it’s a no brainer compared to the expenses of an additional ICE. We preferred this EV over others because many controls are individual buttons and not buried in touchscreen menu. You could actually use this car if touchscreen stopped working for whatever reason; not true of many other EV’s. We specifically liked Subaru’s version over Toyota because base Solterra (what we leased) still comes with AWD.
Contrary to all the naysayers it is a very livable car. I've test driven Toyota bz4x and Lexus RZ450 - I ended up getting a Lexus as it was more well appointed for not that much more money (buying used takes a sting out of depreciation).
Thanks for doing this wonderful video. I am buying and debating between premium or Touring. I think I am getting good deal here is my deal and would like your thoughts if I am getting a good deal. Premium 329 down and 329+ tax for 36 month lease or Touring : 2400 down and 380 a month for 36month lease. I live in TN so average drive is 60+ miles a day so range will not be an issue. which one should I get lol I am lost. lol
leased one two months ago and I was so disappointed. Charging time from 5% to 100% took 2 Days and 3 Hours. No wiper on rear window and rear heater takes a while to clear visual. I fear the coming of Winter. Won't recommend. Believe me you will be disappointed.
@Toldyouso0210 That charge time isn't bad if you're using the level 1 charger that comes with the car. I get 252 miles at 100% I've DC fast charged from 3%to 80% in 29min. Maybe the newer 2024s are better
I just inherited a '24 Solterra, while there is so much to like, the most important things like range and charge time are absolute mind blowing mistakes by Subaru. I'm going to sell it probably at the end of my 1st year of owning it. Subaru, you could do sooo much better, SMH.
There is no bad car just a bad price. MSRP should have been 30k - 35k. When a tesla is cheaper, no one should have bought these. Get a base model y instead for 42k before incentives.
