Hello, nice job! Just a small tip: in inkscape you can convert your text into an object (actually a group of objects, one per letter) it will be filled but you can add a stroke and remove the filler if you like better... As for cursive letters you will just have to merge them after convertion...
@@ArtfullyRogue You're welcom ! Note that when making a dxf with inkscape you sometimes need to clean the dxf before feeding it to your cam software (if the cam doesn't do it himself) there may be zero length segments of small zigzags that could hurt your cnc... (well at least it's feelings ;) ) I personaly use qcad (free but has a pro version for almost nothing): just press M Z to select any segment smaller than any arbitrary length... true 0 can be deleted... near 0 must still be delt manually but at least you know where they are (there could some community script that makes it for you but I haven't had any time to find it...) Just hoping it can help anybody ;)
Scott Turner thanks Scott. It was actually job I committed to before I had attempted the letters but then the client changed their mind but figured I'd better prepare if the request came in again
I don't understand why you didn't cut everything out on the CNC? Since the sizes were already in the computer I would have thought it would have been 5 minutes
I thought the same thing after I spent all the time went a cut off wheel. The cnc was a new toy at the time and so just didn't think of it cutting simple shapes like the 2" strips. That cnc is long gone from the shop and now I cut everything on my new cnc for sure
Hey man would you be willing to make a letter “U “ 20inches tall ? Iam interested in buying from u if ur willing to do that ?? . Hope u can reach back out.. thank you
Hi Joseph, I currently use a Lincoln 110v mig with flux core wire ( no gas) there's a lot of splatter from the flux core but I've had it for so long I've gotten use to it.
I use the Hypertherm XP30 and the torchmate table and system. I've learned that I need to have the Hypertherm 45 in order for the system to function accurately. My XP30 is not really designed for cnc but it was bought as part of the entire system when I got it.

Sir,what amperage and voltage do you use to mig weld your thin metal sheets?
I'm using a 110v flux core mig welder on a mid setting. I don't know the actual amperage
Hello please tell me I can hire you!!! I am seriously in need for custom made letters for a project I am about to begin
What kind of welder for the tack welds?

Artfully Rogue thanks for response I really appreciate it
I’m curious which plasma cutter & cnc you used?
