    Your travel Vlogs are so authentic and original Richard, as well as excellently filmed and narrated and this is why they are so interesting and thought provoking for us the viewers. So glad you are getting some food in mate, no matter where you eat it! Happy travels, take care.

      I'm in rome at the moment, despite it being one of the pizza and pasta restaurant capitals of the world, it is also possibly the best city on earth for gluten free food. I've managed to eat a full pizza every day since arriving and it tastes just as good as the wheat ones, also good prices. 😋 no problem finding food in this country! 👍

    With 23€ per night you could find an Entire AIRBNB studio. That's really expensive for a hostel with bad toilets...

    So glad you found a gluten free feast Rich. This city was very interesting too. It looked really nice and we could tell you enjoyed it. Your uncle laughed when he saw the double parking. Unreal 😂. Imagine if you needed to get out. Wait for ages for the double parked cars to clear off 😅. Liked the apartment. Bit better bathroom (nothing in dunny to surprise you like censored STAY dunny haha). Enjoy your travels. We are certainly enjoying your vlogs. PS. great music choices too. Loving it xx

      Thanks, i'm glad you're both enjoying the vlogs. It's funny what a tourist would find interesting, but the parking situation was fascinating to me. The difference between having an underground metro and not is gigantic in such a dense city. The royalty free music collection is slowly building up, i found the jazz stuff recently and thought it fit the relaxed vibe of the city.

    I live in there . All of the big markets have gluten free cereals. But you have to go there you can't find them in small local markets. There are plenty big markets in the center of the city

    Man ! Did you visit Ladadika? Old Town city to see the view from Ano Poli? Nah You saw us only the hostels you stayed and some food you bought . Thessaloniki is the Temple of food unless you are vegan

    Thessaloniki is a nice town,
    I live here.
    But when I see articles or videos saying that it is a great destination for tourists I wonder if they speak about Thessaloniki.
    Ok it has it's calm energy or nice vibes but it doesn't have many things to see.
    At least you were kind enough to not say anything worse about the situation here.
    Enjoy your travels.

    Is it real? Gluten-free foods are natural yogurt, cream, all types of meat, poultry, fish, eggs and most types of cheese, all fresh or dried fruits, all fresh vegetables, all legumes, rice, rice flour, potatoes, corn, corn oil, millet, unsalted nuts. All those you can find in Generic Restaurants everywhere on Earth?

    • @richardinacan
      @richardinacan  ปีที่แล้ว

      When you have celiac disease, it's difficult to find a restaurant that will not cross contaminate foods with wheat. Even the best meaning restaurants make mistakes that will ruin me for a week. If they don't have gluten free written on the menu, it shows that i can't really trust the restaurant to take cross contamination seriously. Unfortunately for me i also can't eat onion and won't eat much dairy. It makes eating in some countries difficult, Italy was very easy by comparison to turkey and athens.

    Another thing to appreciate about Australia is that our drivers mostly stick to the rules and park sensibly. Thessaloniki has a lot of things going for it and the new metro will improve public transport. It is disappointing to see the graffiti spoiling the buildings and public areas just as it does in Athens. Can't understand the lack of civic pride amongst modern Greeks who accept such vandalism and don't seem to care enough to make any efforts to clean the place up. Who knows, it may be better when you return in the future.

      On Monastiriou, just a busy road in a kind of more industrial/trade area, not the typical spot a person would like staying, but it was close to the bus station so i was happy
