I've been kicking around purchasing this amp for about 3 weeks now. Every clip I have heard it sounds amazing especially as a clean Base tone for pedals. I talked to a guy that makes pedals and says he has never heard a low wattage single-ended power section A sound good especially with pedals unless you're playing it at whisper-quiet volumes. Most of the time I'm playing at a bedroom volume which I wouldn't say is whisper quiet. And I think any pedal would go perfectly with this amplifier
Another Great Studio 10 review (and playing)! Your description on how to set up the amp is easy to follow. Thanks for posting -looking forward to more of your videos…
Leigh - Thanks for your Blackstar 6l6 videos. That is what is needed rather than keep sampling sounds playing with knobs. At least I can do that. It is that straight to the point how to get specific tones setting the amp. Obviously, it is a reference as there are several variables, starting with your skills and technique. But I can take it from there. As I mentioned in another of your videos, can you do a similar one with EL34 connecting to artists/songs? Or a comment if the amp setup is similar, just the amp voice is different, which is obvious.
I ended up purchasing this amp not long after I made my first comment on it. I would really love to hear some Joe Bonamassa type tone on it. Maybe even some Dumble type tones. I'm not sure if it could be done without a pedal or at the very least an EQ. But I sure would love to see how close you could get
