If that other famous car-reviewer - the one with the auction site 😉- tested this car, he'd only take it for a spin in normal trafic and would not even include exterior shots and I would probably not bother looking at the review. I had a '79 Chevy short bed 4wd with a small block 400. Best, most fun truck ever.......and a great looking truck. Just a flick of the wheel and it would kick the back end out and power slide for days. Easy to drive, comfortable, good off road, the perfect truck. Thanks for the test of the Ford F-150 Tremor. I'd love to find a nice 1992 Ford Ranger w/AT though. I am 70+ and can't afford any of these new and nice trucks. I need more value and solidity, of that is a word. Tried and true technology, no robotic stuff. THANKS for another real world assessment. 😃

@@bananarobotoverlord theyre basically special order only. theres a cool version called the 'sleeper' that if i had to buy a truck thats what id go for
Regular cab is only available only with the regular bed (6.5') or long bed(8'), not the short bed (5.5'). Also: cloth interior, no center console, no heated seats/steering, minimal cameras, no HUD, limited colors, no keypad on door, no push-button start, no fancy tailgate, no fancy headlights, and maybe a dozen other little niceties just plain ain't options. It rides TERRIBLE. Worse than a worn out squarebody jacked to the sky. And even then, it's a $45K truck. ...Yet oddly, I do enjoy mine.

Sarah! Great review of the 2024 F-150 Tremor! That Coyote V8 sounds amazing, and it's awesome to see how capable this truck is both on and off-road. The tech features like the onboard scales and that origami tailgate are pretty cool too. I love how you balance the pros and cons - the off-road performance and comfort sound stellar, but that price tag is definitely up there! Your idea about offering a Tremor package on a base XL 4x4 makes a lot of sense. It'd be awesome to have those off-road goodies without breaking the bank. Keep up the awesome reviews, always look forward to your thorough and entertaining content!
I miss hauling ass on those Arizona desert roads. Good times growing up. I agree that the V8 is the way to go. It's in one of my F-150s. It's a XL single cab 4X4 with 3.73s as well. 2022 model with the 10 speed transmission and rear lockers as well. Leveled on 33s. Super fun, really quick, and yet still practical.

Sarah with how fast $80k pick up trucks are flying off the shelves you may very well get your wish for an XL tremor truck priced at 40k. Ford may have to do it just to SURVIVE. Here’s to a regular cab XL Tremor next year🍻
Totally agree and I really appreciate your last comment. Coming from a fully self modified sport JKU wrangler to a can't stand Rubicon which JLU. I'm looking for another off roader that fits more long legged 14 year old's plus a pup and quitter. plans are to go with a Lariat 3.5 and mod it myself to be even better than the Tremor package.
I agree, just do an XL. The base 4x4 still has a rear locker or at least the 2020 I was using as a pumper truck in the oil field did. I'd definitely look at softer shocks if you go that route since the lower trim package will rattle your teeth out of your skull if you try to carry any speed on a bumpy road but you'll get more or less the same capability for ALOT less money.
12:29 many beans given, and then she says the magic word "Baja". Sarah needs a Baja vehicle, who is with me? Agreed on the price, absolutely crazy crazy prices
this looks like what a 50k truck should be, not 80k. prices need to come back to sanity. also love her point on the offroad suspension on a base model. thats why most people just buy used and mod that, get something pretty cheap to abuse. not a nice new shiny as a toy, especially with these prices
They don't make an affordable bare-bones version of these trucks because the companies want us to think we need the more expensive one. That's why auto journalists always review the top of the line and hardly ever the basic model. I very much want a simple, barebones truck, that's why I'll stick with my 1998 4x4 Tacoma. Great video as always. Love it. Ford, GM, Dodge etc have a years worth of truck inventory right now, so you can go beat up a local dealer and get trucks cheap if you wait till the end of the month and can wade through all the bs and cigarette smoke / vaping sales people. A cheap solid axle? No thanks. I drive my V10 a couple of times a year and it's great. Less than 10,000 miles on it, and likely to stay that way. I drive my dual motor electrics every day. I hate having to change the oil in that V10 every two years when it ages out, supposedly. How does oil go bad sitting in a metal container (a sealed engine oil pan) makes no sense. V8 is OK, but it's no V10.
I like the f-150 tremor after going back and forth for months between that and 2024 limited tundra I decided to go with the tundra super happy with it .
Just bought one two weeks ago. I opted for the “base” Tremor “ 401A. I got rid of the rake with a 2” Ready Lift leveling kit. I love my Tremor specially the color Avalanche Gray which apparently has been discontinued for the 2025 model year.
One thing about that spare... ours didnt have a fifth TPM sensor. We had to buy one and install it for a 5-tire rotation. It's disappointing given the astronomical price.
I’d like to see you test an STX 4x4. More value priced and you can get it with the 5.0 and an FX4 package that gives you most of the off road bits the Tremor does, but at an MSRP around $59k which is much more palatable than $80k.
V-8s are still the best choice by far. The way they are made now and the 8-10 speed transmission s available, they get as good if not better gas mileage than the twin turbos and will likely last waaaaaayyyyy longer. I have driven Ford Coyote V8 and GMC’s 5.3 and they both were averaging 22-23 mpg around town and 25 mpg on the highway. Most V6’s barely do that, turbo or otherwise.
Sarah I do agree with you that 80k is a very big price tag, as another person commented these pick up trucks were designed as working vehicles, tools in the load bed and most commonly a short cab saving you carrying loads of employees 😂😂 Lots of what's on that is truly unnecessary but if they did a base line model at say 38k you could add maybe 6k-7k of extras which would give you a damm good truck saving around 35k-36k. I love all your work so no pressure on you at all😂😂 ❤❤xxx John
Nngh agreed Sarah; the prices today make this sorta thing unobtainium for like 90% of people. It's a neat idea and cool build, just... way, WAY too expensive.

Sarah I do agree with you that 80k is a very big price tag, as another person commented these pick up trucks were designed as working vehicles, tools in the load bed and most commonly a short cab saving you carrying loads of employees 😂😂
Lots of what's on that is truly unnecessary but if they did a base line model at say 38k you could add maybe 6k-7k of extras which would give you a damm good truck saving around 35k-36k.
I will say I was hoping that more Finnishing would be done on you long term project ha ha ha but I forgive you how could anyone not forgive such a lovely smile and superb sense of humour.
I love all your work so no pressure on you at all😂😂 ❤❤xxx John
Really love that new styling, although I liked the previous gen as well
Nngh agreed Sarah; the prices today make this sorta thing unobtainium for like 90% of people. It's a neat idea and cool build, just... way, WAY too expensive.
Note to self: I don’t want to ever let you test drive my truck! (Seriously great test, really learned a lot)
I played bass for Torque Management back in ‘98.
Out Of The Hole was our biggest hit.
Great review and video. Amazing truck. Really admire the F150 Tremor. That exhaust sound . . . Wow. Just wow.
It’s an Open Diff 3.73 with electronic locking rear diff. Not a limited slip diff.
And the box under the back right seat is the power inverter.
This was fun to watch. Glad you're feeling better, Sarah.
I learn so much about vehicles from you, Sarah. Thanks so much! 🙏👍🏼
Sarah yer a badass! Perfect tremor. They need to offer it in red and I'll be getting one
