- Hello everyone!! It was time to get a different tone out of the charger. I had done a little research so I did a mid muffler delete on my 2010 dodge charger srt8 6.1L. I went to exhaust addicts you can check out there channel as well. It cost me about $200 after tax. I definitely love the sound now but it's not stopping here. I’m glad I found this video. I originally removed the rear resonators and then ultimately got bored and removed the suitcase muffler and dumped the pipes directly under the car. Now I’m going to run two 18” Colt exhaust chambers in place of where the suitcase muffler was and run the pipes back out to the rear of the car. Hopefully it sounds better and more directed. : )

I haven't found many 6.1l videos either sooo I figured why not. However I'll be putting a 7.0L in soon lol. To answer your question its not too bad actually. It shoots it out the back more than inside however with the res delete and it going straight piped its insane on the inside. However I'm also catless so that plays a part as well.

I have a 2010 R/T I think it’s best to get the mid muffler & resonator deleted
I'm about to get longtubes and go catless I want to see how it sounds before taking the resos off. I'm not trying to bust my ear drums😂my neighbors already get irritated with me. I figured if I keep them on and get pulled over when catless I can say I still have mufflers or something to help me lol.

When you get a muffler delete do you have to bring anything?
No they just cut the mufflers off and welded in new pipe. Was fairly quick as well.
So you dont have no x pipe?
No I do not my SRT8 did not come with one. I know some of the newer ones do like the scat. Also I was going to but my tuner mentioned with the mods I have there's not much of a difference in my build having it.
Are the resonators in the rear of the SRT8 2006-2010 chargers ?
Yes as far as I know and from a little research and talking to other mopar heads I've been told and confirmed dodge wanted to be backwards when it came to that. Dodge makes them mid-mufflers and rear resonators. I believe it's the same on the newer dodge vehicles too. Alot of people still call them mufflers but I've been corrected a couple times on it.

Sounds nice yea mines a 2008 Dodge Charger srt8 I straight piped it so only thing I got is just a cats but now I’m having O2 sensor problems I put all four new ones in and It still showing a code P0133 just checking on here if anybody is going through that same problem.....
My tuner has told me when going straight piped and deleting cats that 02 spacers are needed where the rear sensors go to help trick the computer into thinking all is fine. You can also get a tune or go a cheaper route to an exhaust shop and they usually take care of the code atleast around where I live. Good luck hit me up if you need more direction or help💯🤙🏽
Yea I still got my cats on n from there the rest is straight piped yea when I looked it up it said like AT TIMES THE SENSOR ITSELF WILL NOT BE CAUSING THE CODE PO133 SO A TECHNICIAN MUST CHECK FOR OTHER FAULTS SUCH AS VACUUM LEAKS A DIRTY MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR OR LEAKS IN THE EXHAUST SYSTEM.... when I want to go get the parts at O’Reilly‘s all for new O2 sensors I installed Them in I had it reset the engine light took a drive it came back on The code for that one was P0158 so that was bank two the bottom sensor towards the back Took the O2 sensor back to O’Reillys got another new one O2 sensor install that one in the new one that code went away now reset the engine light now another code came on and it’s that P0133 I’m on right now try in to explain best I can thank u guys....
@@theoboyee5597 I had similar and same codes after the mid muffler delete. I purchased a tuner and applied a tune however you can go and have the code taken off for good at a custom car shop, tuner shop etc. With all new sensors I'd think your car just isn't registering well after straight piping it as mine did when I got exhaust work done. My tuner however sent me a tune for being catless. That way when I go catless no codes should pop up afterwards either.
