I live in Gilbert (across the street from agritopia) and I agree it’s a great place to live. However due to demand and because of Gilbert nearing buildout (few homes are being built now mostly apartments) home prices in Gilbert have gone way up in price. My house is about 2700 sq feet and I paid $300k for it 11 years ago. A house with the same floor plan sold for $586k recently. So if you want a new build home you’ll probably have to go further south to queen creek or San Tan Valley where they’re still building subdivisions.
Hello Rich, I’m planning of relocating to Arizona from NY. However, recently read a review from a Gilbert resident that stated that if you’re not white, Christian and married DO NOT LIVE HERE. 🤦🏻♀️ 🙄 Concerning for sure. What are your thoughts or experience?
I would not put much into that perspective. However, I cannot say firsthand, because I am white, Catholic and married. However, those I have met here and know, don’t believe or act like someone who would care otherwise. Send me an email or call, if you want to discuss more details.
@nv1173 I think you should be fine here 😊, I am neither White nor a Christian, but I feel Gilbert is very welcoming and the best place to live in the USA!!!, Of course I see Jehovahs witnesses and Mormons with Bibles in hand & knocking doors but if you tell them you are not interested at all in Christianity, they shouldn't be a bother!!!
@@ArizonaLife1 I have lived in the east valley. It is way too hot to live there. It is heavily dominated by Mormons. That desert utility bills are outrageous outrageous
1900 Monday 01/15/24 We are moving to Gilbert Arizona to be near my son and look into opportunities I have a daughter that is retired military and 100% medically retired from the Army, and my mother is a surviving spouse widowed of a military officer pilot. US Army we are relocating from Port St Joe Florida. Here in Florida we have an option to buy homes in the homes for hero program,. But are looking at our options in Gilbert. My son will be a flight instructor in Mesa Arizona and we would like to be near him. we would like to look for our forever home, and I have been looking at options. we are also looking at the rent to own options due to the credit scores not being right where they need to be at this time. What is your advice to us? and where should we start? we are projecting the time to get there, would be around March 1st to the middle of March.

Gilbert is a very white community and religion is primarily Mormon. I have a small place in Mesa. A ton of seniors and snowbirds.
