I have numerous Echo devices including the complete Echo Studio set up. What is amazing about the Studio are the microphones. I have the Studios in the living room and I can go all the way in the dining room and speak almost in a whisper and it can still hear me. I've had the Studios since they were first introduced and I like them a lot. I only use the Studio for automation and not music because I have an excellent stereo for that and the complete Bose 900 setup.

I really enjoyed this video and subbed. I have been playing with the Amazon smart speakers for several years now and recently purchased 4 of the Echo Plus versions when they were on sale for 60 dollars each. I set them up in pairs in different rooms and they were okay. I then took the plunge and got an Echo Sub and after going through a bit of a configuration quagmire, got them paired up to one of the sets. I'm not an audiophile, just a listener and was happy with the result. I only use these devices as standalones for music listening anyway. You got me thinking now about the Studios and I'll be watching to see if I can catch a deal on those. Thanks for taking the time and for the great production values and information you demonstrated in this video. BTW, I think Amazon Day will feature the Echo Plus units for around 60 dollars as I write this.

Thanks for the perspective! I think if you can get a pair of Studios on sale and have it as a home theatre pair with your Fire TV stick, it's a good cheap way to get Dolby Atmos. I personally have a pair of 3rd generation Echo Dots working in tandem paired with my Fire TV Stick 4K right now and it's not bad. My Samsung soundbar and subwoofer outguns the Dots of course but the Dots are not a bad option and certainly an upgrade from TV speakers.

My current setup is a Firestick 4K with a home theatre consisting of two echo speakers and an echo sub. My question is, if I may.
If I upgrade to the new Fire Cube, which has an HDMI in, will the home theatre side still work if I run my satellite system through the Fire Cube? In other words, will sound from the satellite system come out of the two echo speakers and an echo sub?
    Thanks from the UK

    • @fluxautomate

I would say only if your TV has 2 eARC ports. From what I know, most TV's only have one of these ports. So most likely not going to work. Even if you find a way around it you'd probably have some kind of delay between the two sets devices. Let me know of you are able to find a workaround. 👍🏾

The ideea is that “the audio test” is where you put the speaker(kinda common sense if you think),all the top end sound is the same, you need a recalibration every time you move it. As it says it’s auto calibration adapts when you move it but will not be 100%. From living room to bathroom will sound totally different from 100 different reasons, even a 3000£ Sonos sistem when u calibrate it in one room and them move it,will sound different .
