this is absolutely terrifying. I just think about how trains sometimes can go over parts of a track that may not be up to snuff in terms of maintenance and can skid or screech and almost derail themselves (I'm looking at you Amtrak). But instead of a train, it's a human being buckled to skis. There are just far too many ways to die in this situation.

I jumped out of a perfectly good plane and came down with a chunk of nylon. Seeing THIS dude made my palms sweaty. Hard pass, hell no. I'd much rather break every single bone in an instant than every single bone over a looong tumble down some wooden stairs.
What’s the go pro effect? Wider lenses tend to make things look bigger/steeper. I’m sure this is steep AF but it’s not as big or steep as it looks in the video

When you use a go pro, it makes it look less steep, impressive, etc. For example when I watch mountain bike videos of local trails the go pro effect makes the downhill parts less steep, the jumps and drops less impressive compared to real life.

actually, it's usually the opposite. Go-Pros have a fisheye lens, which can exaggerate things quite a bit. If you watch people doing parkour and what-not, they look like they are flipping over buildings that are 100 stories tall. The act still takes balls of steel, regardless.

Same here. My first thought: I'm too old for that. Past mid thirties you would want to pass. Bones, cartilages and all that. As you get older you notice how great your younger body was. I have no issues, I cam jump, run, do sports, whatever. I just know that my bones and cartilages wont deal so well with shocks, that I wont have the almost supernatural healing power and resilience of youth.
