I got the impression that wasn't his intended landing spot. I don't think he knew the guy with the car. haha. He was probably just trying to not come down on the highway at the end there.
They fly as effortlessly as a rabbit moves upon the forest floor. A bird really has no idea of what the air is. Just a fish doesn't know that it's in water because it never leaves.
That line through the canyon is mega-impressive and beyond insane how close you guys get to the rocks below, especially your partner who is flying at a slightly lower height. I have no words, spine-tingling to watch or toe-curling are some of the expressions that come to mind. The equal parts exciting and dangerous aspect of wingsuit flying is that you can not gain height, and only follow the glide slope of the suit, so the angle of the terrain slope being so closely matched to the glide slope and at such proximity is the very definition of extreme adrenaline! Only Isle of Mann TT racing rivals this, and even there the riders have much more control possible since they are not at the mercy of gravity and wind.
I personally would argue that the Isle of Man TT is more dangerous since limits are pushed there and there are at least as much if not more exterior factors who can kill you in a split-second. I don't have a lot of knowledge about wingsuit flying but first and foremost it's simple math: glideslope > terrainslope. if I had to guess i'd say the risk of turbulence or strong winds is smaller than you'd expect due to the close proximity to the ground and your overall small affected area (compared to a big paraglider oder miniwing). if I were forced to chose for me personally it would be wingsuiting anytime even though I'm a formidable bike rider.
Absolutely insane, and the precision with the landing too. Boy that guy in blue seemed really close to the ground when going between the rocks. Crazy, totally crazy.

Not quite. A bird can stop, hover, turn and go up and down and is in total control of what it's doing, without a very high risk of death when it takes to the air.
