The Giant Penny is one of the more strangely iconic pieces in Batman's Batcave, it comes from an ironically forgettable villain , Penny Plunderer
The name alone is reason enough to forget the Fenny Dunderer.

The animation was a little stiff and choreography was strange at places. The cinematography was also not clear at times. So I think that's where the gripes are. The setting was cool and used correctly though in my opinion. It was an inoffensive death battle but one where the quality was easily put into question on the battle itself for sure.

I did honestly enjoy this rewatch more then i thought i would, but it's honestly mostly because i ironically enjoyed all the terrible looking parts. Moments like Batgirl's ridiculous looking walk at the start, the weirdly silly and cartoony looking way she grabs those batons, the shot where the Batarang that stabbed Gwen floats vaguely around her wrist ,the instances where both characters come off as way dumber then intended (Gwen just letting Batgirl slowly place a device that shocks her on her chest, Batgirl reacting way too late to Gwen's invissibility by throwing the Batarangs 2 seconds after she turned invissible, Gwen making a quirky comment about how she shouldn't have grabbed an explosive instead of just throwing it away, or even the climax where Batgirl feels more like a kid throwing a temper tantrum then someone who is fighting desperately for her life while being hopelessly outmatched), and of course how dumb Batgirl's face looks when she dies are just funny to me on a rewatch. It kinda feels like an episode where they knew how bad of an idea the match itself was and just decided to mess around with it, which doesn't make the episode good but it can make it ironically entertaining.
As for the next time, i'm not going to spoil it but i will say that it's another episode where the animation looks off. Well, Sanji looks fine in it for the most part, but it's an episode with sprite rigging where Rock Lee's rigging looks rather bad with weird proportions and instances where his head isn't connected to the rest of his body.

I think what people didn`t like was, that it felt like a repeating one. if you watch batman and spiderman, you pretty much knew this one.
Agreed. Spidergwen is pretty much equal to Spiderman but batgirl is not to batman so you couldn't really expect a different outcome. Spiderman 2099 vs batman beyond was a better rematch. But I have to say I love these characters and enjoyed it all the same
@@cybersonic8472 she was trained by batman to take his technique and develop it where it best suited her. While this creates unique styles, at the end of the day they all must abide by stealth, agility, and gadgets to supplement their fighting styles. The only exception being batman beyond who's suit was too powerful and the rules were changed. Her divergence from batman are the greatest use of gadgets to compensate for lack of strength and her computer skills. The batman family are too dependent on stealth and Spider sense counters it hard.
Rock Lee vs sanji is pretty damn close so you'll enjoy having a tricky one to predict

Despite this being not a good 3D fight and for being an unforgettable episode of Season 7, it was an interesting one and you’re really going to like the next one Ris.
Also more of a personal note, I wanna say thank you so much for forgiving me from the last one and I promise you that I will never on my life will do anything similar to it ever again and with that, I’ll see you next week for your reaction to the Penultimate Episode of Season 7.

2:22 I loved how you weren't phased by that bullshit and called it out in a millisecond. This maybe the 3rd or 4th worst Deathbattle of all time. The analysis is dull and the battle is lackluster at best also this fight is one of the most pointless one since Spider-man vs. Batman already exists.

As one who ended up doing that, I wanna point out that when I did it, I was extremely guilty for a week because of my own actions like what I did was wrong and I take full responsibility for it.
look ma, no hands. and I couldn't figure out why I was so hesitant to watch this one again, but yeah, something just felt off
Why did they spoil it? If you hadn't forgiven them, I would say we should send Deadpool after them.
For context, the reason why Barbara was physically struggling near the end of the fight is because the neural implants in her spine were weakening, but they could've portrayed it better.
With the exception of Link vs Cloud from Season 1, this is the worst 3D fight in the series. The SFM team are out of their league when it comes to close quarters characters, it's just not their strong suit (pun intended)
This episode is heavily disliked by the community. 1. Because the animation is generally agreed upon to be low quality and 2. People were already getting tired of Marvel and DC being so overrepresented on Death Battle, and the fact that Death Battle kinda already figured out that Spider-Man beats Batman way back in 2012, that they just thought the episode was unnecessary.
I also think this is a heavily flawed episode, but personally, I dislike the next episode more.

Most underrated episode imo. Yes it is pretty much a repeat of Bruce vs Peter. But here is the thing. I feel it was intentional. I know the original Bruce vs Peter fight did not go in depth for the reasons as to why Spidey beats Batman. So I feel they decided to do this match because it would allow them a more detailed version of that episode with different but similar characters. Plus my favorite Marvel character (Gwen) finally got to shine! I just feel this episode gets too much hate, and is one of if not my favorite episode of Death Battle
At least Gwen is different enough from Spider-Man thanks to her pseudo-Venom powers.
I would rather they just remade Batman Vs Spiderman, but more power to you for liking the episode.

Personally, I liked this episode alright. It wasn't anything that especially stood out, but there wasn't anything that I found particularly bad, either.

I actually liked this episode. I don't care if people saw this as a rule 63 version of Spidey vs Bats. Sucks you got spoiled, though.
If you think that was bad, try being the one who ended up doing it like not going to lie but I ended up doing it like I felt extremely guilty for a week cause what I did was wrong and I had dishonored myself because of it. Even though I was forgiven, I still feel bad that I ended up spoiling this episode for him.

The analysis were really well edited and definitely the highlight of the episode. But yeah, that animation was really awkward and shitty.

This death battle is not as good as I remember but definitely not bad.
Fun Fact: The reason why they did this fight was because they wanted to remake the original Batman vs Spider-Man, but they wanted to use different characters. Same thing with Wally West vs Archie Sonic
I actually forgot about this Death Battle. It did some cool things but it’s not very good and a bit forgettable.
This one seemed redundant to me; while the characters are different from a a power set point of view this is just Batman vs Spiderman over again.
I'm just happy a Marvel character won lol. It always seems like a DC character wins these.

The analysis carried this episode in my opinion. However, the fight was mediocre at best and laughably bad at worst.
tbh animating in 3d is hard and cost alot so i can see why it was bad but don't be too harsh on it tho
I honestly don't understand the people who are hating on this battle. I guess just angry DC fanboys pissed off because their characters keep losing. Strangely,this is actually one of my favourite episodes. Sure,the animation is not Hollywood-level,but it's still A LOT better than the low effort, pixelated 2D animations they usually do.

@@MIrfanPerdana All I'm saying is - 3D animations always look better than the pixel art they used in the earlier episodes when they had a lower budget(and still use sometimes,for whatever reason)
