Fun fact: Bucky’s “death” is the in universe reason Marvel superheroes don’t have kid sidekicks. After what happened to him most superheroes were unwilling to recklessly endanger the life of a minor. The out of universe reason is that Stan Lee expressed a strong dislike of the idea of kid sidekicks.
Not sure if this is a "Fun Fact", but 3 days after filming the fight, the whole Lockdown thing started. So I think it's safe to say they didn't dodge a bullet, they dodged a Tank fire with that.
Bucky should have stolen that burger. Otherwise it's just wasted. Fun fact, lots of people have been known as the Red Hood before, and one of them was the guy who would later be The Joker. He was Red Hood for like, an hour before he fell in the acid.
Just so you know, the battle that’s after Venom VS Crona had a bit of a schedule shift, so it had a schedule shift. It aired after the different one. So, I hope you’re aware of that, and if not, then try to remedy it, or you’ll be watching them out of order.
Fight was awesome this episode. Explanation was a little lacking, my guess is because the fight was a little longer this time. I do believe Winter Soldier does win this since he does consistently battle characters that could take out Jason like Wolverine, Cap, Spider-Man, and Gamora, and his arm's insane power and versatility (resisting Iron Man's repulsors, Black Panther's vibranium claws, etc.), and I think they could've gone in more depth why since a lot of people think the Bat-Family can beat any street-level fighter in the Marvel universe (when in reality many matches are closer than they realize or the Marvel fighter does win). They likely focused on the Supergirl bit since a lot of Red Hood fans took it out of context and tried passing it off as a legitimate feat, but there was much more ground to cover.
I think the reason why they didn't put a lot of math into the feats was because almost none of the feats were something was worth calculating. Stuff like Red Hood up a portion of a burning building or even Bucky surviving Iron Man's repulsor blast which could destroy a helicopter would probably seem boring as oppose to destroying a mountain or dodging beams of light. Also this fight's outcome seemed to be less focused on who wins based on who's stronger, faster and more durable and focused on who wins because of their arsenal and abilities. Still great reaction and can't to see your take on The Boys episode
Quick Robin Rundown for you if you’re curious Dick Grayson: OG Robin, left after he got too old and became Nightwing Jason Todd: Angsty Robin, killed by Joker, brought back to life by reality altering g shenanigans, became the anti-hero Red Hood Tim Drake: Brainy (and best) Robin, became Robin of his own volition after deducing Batman’s identity. Later took the name Red Robin after Batman was killed by Darkseid Stephanie Brown: not everyone counts her, she was Tim’s girlfriend who was also the hero Spoiler, she briefly served as Robin when Tim Drake was unable. She got killed by Black Mask, then her death was retconned, then her entire stint as Robin was retconned so 🤷♂️ Damian Wayne: Current Robin, Batman’s biological son with Talia Al Ghul, he initially served as Robin alongside Dick after he had taken up the Batman mantle (after Bruce was killed by Darkseid). So there’s your spark notes if you ever need a quick (who’s who)
So they had been going crazy with the math and they had feedback that they were doing to much. They kinda over corrected but I think when they started really using the slates with the numbers they got more balanced and I really like where the show is now
As stated in the other comments, the episode after Venom vs. Crona is actually Sabrewulf vs. Jon Talbain (to make up for the schedule shift for Red vs. Blue Zero, and because it's more fitting as a Halloween episode).
Hey Ris you’re doing a great job, I just wanted to let you know that in the Next Episode they accidentally show the wrong Next Time trailer at the end. After Venom VS Crona you are supposed to do Sabrewulf VS Jon Talbain
Definitely an improvement over the last in person Death Battle, but it has a few big flaws. Firstly, I don’t have PTSD, but from what I’ve heard, the PTSD scene is almost insultingly different from how PTSD actually behaves. People with PTSD don’t really walk around grabbing their heads screaming at nothing, it’s more that their bodies shut down. Also the ending came out of nowhere. The gun exploded and then all of a sudden it was over. I feel like it would’ve helped to make more of a deal out of the crushing of the helmet. Maybe spend some time showing Red Hood struggling, maybe he grabs Bucky’s arm and tries to get him off, or maybe he hits Bucky a few times but he doesn’t relent. Maybe we could see the helmet slowly starting to give before it finally collapses in on itself. I’m not sure, but they definitely needed to spend more time on the death
Well some people react differently to ptsd so some people can react in such a way . Like how some instead of freezing will "relive" traumatic things in their head. So it could be possible.
Based on what the two beneath me said, and Jason's aggressive, hotheaded personality, I think it's feasible this would be how he handles his PTSD: by trying to fight back against it
In that case, that's something that could be included just in the conclusion. That way it would receive acknowledgment without playing a role in the analysis (which is supposed to be used to discuss/determine a character's capabilities).
When this fight came out, I had a feeling Bucky was going to win but hey, for being the second live action fight of all time, I made up for the last live action fight since I did end up losing with Daredevil. Next Time with Venom and Crona, we finally got all the teased Season 7 combatants out of the way as Crona is the final character teased after All Might VS Might Guy but there's something that I want to point out first, the next fight after Venom VS Crona, due to a personal reason down at Rooster Teeth, the next time after Venom VS Crona ended up being pushed back with the episode that was going to be after the next time after Venom VS Crona. I'll bring it up more once you do the reaction to Venom VS Crona.
@@Ris_Grestar Yeah, from what I’ve heard PTSD in real life causes people’s bodies to shut down, not lash out in anger and grab their heads screaming at nothing.
Jason had the literal best training possible, was possibly stronger, his helmet is always on his head, and Venom lasts long enough for Jason to crush Bucky’s skull
Note: I do plan to watch the The Boys episode!
Awesome, when?
Saturday
@@Ris_Grestar awesome
You gonna upload both that and Venom VS Crona?

Huh... I always wondered why Captain America had the only "Robin" figure.
Not sure if this is a "Fun Fact", but 3 days after filming the fight, the whole Lockdown thing started. So I think it's safe to say they didn't dodge a bullet, they dodged a Tank fire with that.

Geez, Jason Todd's story is brutal.
Oh, this is live action! Cool!
You skipped an episode ris. The seven battle royale.
Edit, saw the comment. It's split into 2...it's the first sponsorship episode

PTSD takes VERY different forms. With me, my stomach drops and I cough until I throw up. I've never frozen up like that.

This db just made me think,if they do another giant monster fight, they could do live action for it.

Red Hood could’ve easily shot Winter Soldier in the head after disabling his arm with one of his own guns 🤦♂️
It's Jason Todd, he was the ONLY Robin to become Red Hood, the idea is that he became WHAT HE WAS KILLED BY
An explosion?
@@Ris_Grestar 🤣🤣🤣
I really enjoy red hood, but I'm not a fan of his ptsd episode this fight
Why's that?
@@Ris_Grestar it just dont seems right to me, I dont know all about those sort of things. But it just felt off to me
Oh, like not how actual PTSD works? That's fair. I assumed there was Joker stuff at play (i.e., fantasy chemicals/effects or whatnot).
@@Ris_Grestar The PTSD was caused by Bucky using the crowbar against him, since that's what Joker used to beat him to death with.
