Very precise description, indeed. My experience with this scent is only 100% positive. During summer women often complimented me and asked me what it was. One of them bought it for herself as this is a perfect unisex fragrance. One of my most favourite. I like it even more than the original thanks to that watery rose note which is absolutely beautiful and (still) unique.

Love Al Wisam Day. Got through nearly 100ml last summer.
I've also discovered Ajmal Silver Shade which is comparable for less money and has good performance. The Ajmal to my nose is slightly more powdery but not by much.

Rasasi.... best value for money in the market IMO! This is definitely my favourite house, because is hard to get dissapointed by any of its fragrances, even with the cheaper ones!

First things first: I would not recommend this to everyone as it goes into a specific direction it is not a crowd-pleasing fragrance... either you like it or not.
He has described the details very well, however the main accords that I can smell are: Very bright clean citrussy, slightly creamy and at the same time inky fluidly metallic...the woody accord is not very present but is there. It is for sure a fragrance for the spring and summer, but on very hot summer days it could be cloying.
As it is a clean and bright fragrance I fully understand why he is saying that this is a good office fragrance, however I would be careful. Your colleagues could love or hate it. The projection and sillage is very good (8/10) in the first 4 hours and then it will be recognised from approx. 1m around you. On clothes you will smell it even the next day.
It is a good fragrance for this price, but not very versatile. As someone who collects frags I would say this is something different than rhe mainstream therefore you should get it...if you are not a fragrance collector and want to purchase safe blind buys then you could be disappointed. If you love Creed Silver Mountain then you will love this one even if it's not a 100% dupe.

I smelled SMW for the first time in the store about a month ago and immediately fell in love with it. I quickly found out about Al Wisam since many people recommended it as a great alternative so I blind bought and I have been rocking it since. It is absolutely a fantastic juice with character and charm. A great floral composition, which you can wear in any situation - exactly what I was looking for! It is now my signature scent. Thanks for a great review as always AC!

Great review AC, i love AWD and would say its only bettered by Ajmal's Silver Shade, which has a really natural citrusy opening and arguably as good a dry down as SMW/AWD. Oh, and if you buy it from FragranceX you can get 100ml for £15!!

What is the prominent note in the dry down?
The dry down smells like salty seawater. Is it the bergamot, amber, or musk? Am I mixing up the smell of saltiness as sourness mentioned in your analysis?
Fragrantica indicates there is oud in the base note, but I don't think it is from the oud.
I enjoy the opening floral scent, but I don't like the salty dry down smell, so I want to find out what it is and avoid this note in the future.

Great review AC! I've had my nose on SMW for quite some time now. From the fragrances, that mimic its smell I believe the closest go to Soft Haze in the first 30 mins, but then it smells totally different, and the representation from Perfume Parlour - Silver Mounteens Water, which is I'd say 85-90% the same, with a bit more of a kick in the beginning. Also to add synthetic fragrances aren't necessarily bad or good, I believe it comes to a person's experience with Body hygiene, if you know what I mean :D, as an example I get better compliments from my Club De Nuit Intense Man, than the Aventus decant, that I own.

Sahil, mine is a 2015 bottle. I doubt Rasasi reformulate their fragrances though. I have never had any issues with them.

Another splendid review, AC! I have this one & Creed SMW and I love them( not so easy a scent profile to enjoy) but I also have silver shade from Ajmal, cheaper than the Rasasi but much better than SMW, in my opinion. It makes no sense to have all 3 like I do but do check it out if you come across it.
Thank you Ken, I certainly will look at Silver shade, as I quite like the SMw type smell. I also have wild fruits by Mancera which also is an attempt to emulate SMW by Mancera.

i would say Wild fruits is about 50% and with very average performance.

Did you already got your nose at the MontBlanc Explorer? Its growing on me. Im more of a fan of dior sauvage and creed aventus (old baches). And being the explorer kinda of a mix between both i was kind of not liking it that much. But after a few tries its not that bad and i get myself wanting to wear it once in a while. I still did not purchase it though.
I haven't tried the Explorer Joao, but I will once the prices come down mate, atm the are quite steep.

Have you tried Estiara Stag White? That juice really projects... I'm not personally a friend of SMW scent signature but just a hint for your work collegues in case they want to try something extra affordable. I'm actually just a little interested in Al Wisam Day since Rasasi produces really good stuff. I have Egra Men and oh boy... that one's a winner for sure.
I haven't tried Stag white yet and I have been thinking of getting Egra, as I already own Tres Nuit I have been procrastinating.

I've never owned SMW or this fragrance, but I do have Entebaa which I've heard compared to SMW too... So which do you prefer Entebaa or Wissam
I haven't tried Entebaa mate but I hear its sweeter, this one is among my top favorites :)
i bought it and it's giving me a headache, it something i'm realising is happening with most of the clones i bought from middle eastern "clone "houses, maybe they dont play by the rule book or regulations, or they just use some heavy chemicals, these frags are doing their thing in the air around you for sure, but man i can't enjoy them up close like i can with the real thing, this one is realy harsh and usually i like meatlic notes but this one is just weirdly unbalanced metalic that it can be nauseating ,i think the creaminess is not there enough to balance it. Also it last long on the skin but projects not a long time, which is not the best things since i can't enjoy it myself on the skin XD. I wont be buying clones annymore

@@ACSmellsGood I found a way to make it a little better, i layer it with Armaf derby blanche which is allot easier, creamier, so i kill the astringent opening of AWD with Derby, Still it isnt the best , bought Mugler Cologne the other day and i'm enjoying it very much, zesty, green, powdery it's superb, way better then Prada amber pour homme that i tried in the boutiqee and it was sort of bland it didnt have annything htat pops up. When it's a real perfumer blending the stuff it's just better then these knock offs that we dont know where and by who are they made. Next on the list i'm going for high class: Chanel Cuir de Russie, Chanel Antaeus, Dior Homme original, John Varvatos Vintage. And i want a good apple pie scent that is affordable i'm on the lookut for that one, heard Zara did it with Unexpected fresh spicy but i want something really good, if you can recommend something i would appriciate it. Thank you Sunil, I will try and get a sample of Entebaa, I haven't got it at the moment mate .
If its of any value, because I have got both and wear them, my opinion is that between the two Entebaa is sweeter, smoother and more of a clubbing/young scent although they are both quite close to each other. AWD has more of a metallic opening turning into something creamier. Entebaa also has a slight dry, red wine accord that is not massively overwhelming. It's just noticeable.
