The dark works very well. I had one particularly persistent girl. I used to sit out in the early morning sun in guard with a large water pistol. She became very wary of me as she ambled up to her fresh eggy breakfast of another hen. I just had to reach for the pistol and she scarpered🧐🤣
My chickens are eating eggs I did not find any eggs for a while I cleaned them out and then decided to tidy a shelf that I store my bags of straw etc they had pooped all over the bags and I found several eggs half-eaten what a mess so now I have put a board up near the bags to stop them getting on top of the bags I don't know why they did this because they have very good nesting boxes and Roosting Bar

Will give it a go tomorrow if put the mustard egg in but this makes more sense.
