Paul Stephen Rudd: an actor who has barely aged, a scene stealer in the Ron Burgundy films, does a recreation of one of the gayest anthems of the 80's, slummed it in Friends, managed to be a mentor or some shit with Seann William Scott? (Think it was role models, I'm drunk) then Ant-Man, and made the whole premise acceptable cos he's like "fuck it, why not". Plus he's Tommy Doyle. Is there an academy award for just being an awesome dude?

I feel the worst for Jamie's character and how she's used and thrown away after all the horrible things that happened to her in parts 4 and 5. I mean, they already screwed up by not making her the villain in part 5. Friday the 13th managed to make Tommy Jarvis into the hero to oppose Jason after failing to make Tommy the new villain. Halloween could've taken the same idea and made Jamie the new leading heroine.
I mean, kind of. She didn't ever ask for a certain amount of money, they just said that her character died too early and she had to take scale. In the first place it is a huge insult to the star of the past two movies of the franchise, not to mention that they had previously told her she would get the movie if she became legally emancipated from her parents so she could work as many hours as an adult, so she spent thousands of dollars on doing that just to be given the choice of scale or to hell with you. A few days of shooting on scale pay wouldn't even make up for what she lost out of pocket to DO the movie in the first place.... As much as I and other real Halloween fans would have loved for her to have done it, I wouldn't have either. It's the producers who cared more about shelling out a little more dough than pleasing the fans...

Halloween 6 tried to do with the franchise what they're doing now, tightening the universe, bringing back old characters, making references only true fans get etc. It's by the fans for the fans now. Halloween 6 should be given credit, until 2018, it was the last one that had the true 'Halloween' feel.
They really messed up by not releasing the Producers cut version or the original scripted version and continuing the planned sequels from there instead of messing it up which then led to h20 which ruined the series and it has became worse and worse ever since! Daniel Farrands should have been able to do what ever he wanted instead of letting Joe Chappel mess it up!
Tbh having watched the cut comparison on dead meat. This movie was a mess and unsalvageable. The root of the problem I would say is the 5th movie. They set up a story that made no sense and by the 6th film they poorly executed the cult story line.
To start off, H5 sucked and damaged the storyline considering the writers had no clue what they were doing especially with that Man In Black angle, plus H6 was in so much hell trying to end the story so obviously the direction it went was not the best. There could have been some few ways to fix it but ultimately it was a doomed storyline anyways. Obviously because of this it had to be retconned with H20 which was not even that bad. Sure H20 was somewhat lackluster but at least it didn't flop where H5 or H6 did. Unfortunately this is Miramax we are talking about annnnnnd Resurrection happened so it shows that the storylines are not bound to end the way it should. TWICE they killed two timelines of Halloween. Definitely wouldn't bother trusting them after that and thank goodness they lost the rights anyways. Leave it to Blumhouse to take the series in the right direction.
Just to let everyone know, if you are going to watch this movie watch the producer's cut. It makes a lot more sense then the theatrical. Apparently the original screenplay for this film was very well done, but the higher ups at the studio really fucked up the movie with reshoots and such to make it gorier and weirder? Even the producer's cut isn't fully like the original screenplay, but it's the closest you'll get, and it's a lot easier to follow. So if your watching for the first time watch the producer's cut.........good day
If the could have just stuck the landing, both versions endings are horrible but the directors cut is a little better. I enjoy the morning however and Michael is actually terrifying.

@RANDY RAMOS well, like I said more of a guesstimate than a fact. All I know is a few years back, Rudd was actually scheduled to appear at a H6 reuinion. It was a big deal. But he backed out at the last minute due to Avengers filming commitments. And Sean Clark (the guy who manages alot of Halloween series stars and conventions) has mentioned that when it comes to getting the big names to appear, it's not them who are opposed but their agents who are difficult. So I just put it all together. Because by all accounts Paul Rudd is not ashamed of his H6 involvement and like I said was even set to appear at a convention.

Halloween 6 is a huge embarassment for Ant-Man actor Paul Rudd. Halloween 4 to 6 and Resurrection are the worst Halloween films to date. This movie is a big mistake for Paul Rudd, he should never have accepted the role in the first place as the Halloween films became huge turds. Only Halloween 1-3, H20 and the true sequel Halloween 2018 are way better films.
H4 is the best sequel with the best fall/halloween feeling out of all of them even H1 (H1 is better of course) H5, H6, H20 are trash. Halloween 4 is filled with the worst moments due to its absurd acting, bad dialogue and poor storyline which Halloween 5 and 6 just took it a step further on the damaging. H20 is the best because of Jamie Lee Curtis' return and outstanding storyline. If it weren't for the whining fan base of having no Michael Myers on Halloween III Season Of The Witch, Halloween 4 could have sticked to the anthology concept which Carpenter wanted than bringing back Michael and his crappy masks from the 4th to 6th films along with terrible acting. H20 was like the true sequel thanks to its execution being closer in tone with the original Halloween.
I'm a damn nerd for these films, watched all of them multiple times, except zombie's shitty movies. I've been to all halloween conventions since 2003. Nearly anyone I talked to says if it's not their fav sequel it's one of the better ones. Fans whined because they used halloween 3 as the title, as a fan I'd expect myers, on top of the fact it's a shitty movie (love some of the creepy atmosphere/shot, have learned to like it a lot more in recent years). I do have a few complaints with my biggest being that fucking shitty mask, and production making george wilbur wear shoulder pads, so he had this permanent shrug. Also wilbur was much better in H6, then in this one. So out of literally hundreds of people I've talked to, it usually goes best to worst - H1, H4/2 (though this is like a 60/40 ratio), H20, H6, H5. This is not exact numbers, but generally speaking this is what pops up in my mind when I think of what OTHER fans (who I have spoken to) think. For me I saw H20 in theaters, and MANY times since, I hate it more and more. Durand SUCKS (nice guy though) as Myers, the look is so dated, that mask! LOL they used several designs, and even a CGI mask! I hated you can see his eyes so clearly, and he emoted too much from his eyes. It didn't help that miner wanted to get the film shot as quickly as possible. Garbage in, garbage out. If you hate it, that's OK, we all have different tastes. Also the H6 mask is pretty good. WAY, WAY, WAY better then the casper mask of 4, and the receding hairline of 5.
No Halloween 4 is the second best sequel after Halloween II...H20 is garbage, its got an awful storyline. People only say H20 is good because Jamie Lee Curtis is in it..but the general consensus amongst Halloween fans is that Halloween 4 is one of the better sequels so im not sure you know what you are talking about...maybe you are getting Halloween 4 confused with Halloween 5? Or maybe you are just younger, it is usually 90's kids from the Scream & Dawsons Creek era that think H20 is a great movie.

No, it isn't. Even if you happen to like Halloween 6, saying it is the better film over Halloween 2018 is just silly. H6 has A LOT of flaws. Not that Halloween 2018 is completely flawless, but H6 is an extremely flawed film.

I thought the same thing. Kara was 22, however the actress looked way older. Mariah O’Brien (girl who played Beth) originally auditioned for the lead but they asked her to read for Beth instead.

All I know is a few years back, Rudd was actually scheduled to appear at a H6 reuinion. It was a big deal. But he backed out at the last minute due to Avengers filming commitments. And Sean Clark (the guy who manages alot of Halloween series stars and conventions) has mentioned that when it comes to getting the big names to appear, it's not them who are opposed but their agents who are difficult. So I just put it all together. Because by all accounts Paul Rudd is not ashamed of his H6 involvement and like I said was even set to appear at a convention.

Halloween 6 is a huge embarassment for Ant-Man actor Paul Rudd. Halloween 4 to 6 and Resurrection are the worst Halloween films to date. This movie is a big mistake for Paul Rudd, he should never have accepted the role in the first place as the Halloween films became huge turds. Only Halloween 1-3, H20 and the true sequel Halloween 2018 are way better films.
H4 is the best sequel with the best fall/halloween feeling out of all of them even H1 (H1 is better of course) H5, H6, H20 are trash. Also it was rudd's first film, Anyone looking for their first acting gig would have jumped at the chance. You really are talking out of your ass, and have no clue how shit works.

Halloween 4 is filled with the worst moments due to its absurd acting, bad dialogue and poor storyline which Halloween 5 and 6 just took it a step further on the damaging. H20 is the best because of Jamie Lee Curtis' return and outstanding storyline. If it weren't for the whining fan base of having no Michael Myers on Halloween III Season Of The Witch, Halloween 4 could have sticked to the anthology concept which Carpenter wanted than bringing back Michael and his crappy masks from the 4th to 6th films along with terrible acting. H20 was like the true sequel thanks to its execution being closer in tone with the original Halloween.
I'm a damn nerd for these films, watched all of them multiple times, except zombie's shitty movies. I've been to all halloween conventions since 2003. Nearly anyone I talked to says if it's not their fav sequel it's one of the better ones. Fans whined because they used halloween 3 as the title, as a fan I'd expect myers, on top of the fact it's a shitty movie (love some of the creepy atmosphere/shot, have learned to like it a lot more in recent years). I do have a few complaints with my biggest being that fucking shitty mask, and production making george wilbur wear shoulder pads, so he had this permanent shrug. Also wilbur was much better in H6, then in this one.
So out of literally hundreds of people I've talked to, it usually goes best to worst - H1, H4/2 (though this is like a 60/40 ratio), H20, H6, H5. This is not exact numbers, but generally speaking this is what pops up in my mind when I think of what OTHER fans (who I have spoken to) think. For me I saw H20 in theaters, and MANY times since, I hate it more and more. Durand SUCKS (nice guy though) as Myers, the look is so dated, that mask! LOL they used several designs, and even a CGI mask! I hated you can see his eyes so clearly, and he emoted too much from his eyes. It didn't help that miner wanted to get the film shot as quickly as possible. Garbage in, garbage out.
If you hate it, that's OK, we all have different tastes. Also the H6 mask is pretty good. WAY, WAY, WAY better then the casper mask of 4, and the receding hairline of 5.
No Halloween 4 is the second best sequel after Halloween II...H20 is garbage, its got an awful storyline. People only say H20 is good because Jamie Lee Curtis is in it..but the general consensus amongst Halloween fans is that Halloween 4 is one of the better sequels so im not sure you know what you are talking about...maybe you are getting Halloween 4 confused with Halloween 5? Or maybe you are just younger, it is usually 90's kids from the Scream & Dawsons Creek era that think H20 is a great movie.
@@acidmack1041 No I watched Halloween 4 and 5, they were the plague of the franchise. Which made me stop following Halloween 6 until H20 revived it in the best way. H20 is not perfect but it is a whole lot better. No Man In Black or explaining of Michael's immortality. 4 to 6 and Resurrection are the abysmals of the franchise. Halloween the new one released this 2018 which is the true Halloween sequel will always be the best out of all the Halloween films. 4 to 6 and Resurrection were idiotic and stupid for all the wrong reasons.
