Hi Lydia, The Patio Umbrella Rib Repair kit only fixes the broken rib. I see from the photo you sent, that it is a rivet and not a screw so the only way to fix your umbrella joint is to try and find the manufacture and order replacement parts. Susan
We have done a few of these patio umbrella repairs, so yes, I can get it done in five minutes. I suggest you take your time to line up the adhesive, smooth out the air bubbles to make it look perfect. Will probably take you ten minutes.

What if you have LED lights connected to the arm of your umbrella and it breaks right where the light is how do I fix that?
In other words “Duck tape the crap out of it !
This is great unless it breaks where the short piece is connected with a screw, right?

The insert does it not slide inside?

The video is 3:16 minutes, Start to finish should take you less that 10 minutes just because you have never applied the repair kit.
