1. Usually dogs get progressively dull during the treatment. If he is active then it's a good sign 2. That depends on the immune system of the dog. 3. Gradually increase the diet and shift to the routine diet in a span of 1 week.
4. You don't need vaccination for parvo after the recovery, but other diseases are also there in the vaccine so you will continue the vaccine for those diseases.
look the general rule is : Puppies need a booster 1 year after completing the initial series, then all dogs need a booster every 3 years or more often. so ig he would need a booster but !! since he already suffered from it he would naturally create antibodies to fight parvo the next time . basically the puppy will create a strong immunity for itself but its good to be on the safe side and pls consult with a vet before giving him an additional shot .. but no the vaccine wont work if ur dog is suffering from parvo at the moment .. and the doctor will mostly wont allow to give the vaccine cuz vaccine has side effects too..so u could get the vaccine after he is recovered

My dog was diagnosed with parvo 7 days ago..On the first day i gave chicken rice twice , and by evening my dog vomitted the undigested food it was active and vomittied some more undigested food at night.then after the whole night it was Vomiting till morning white foam..the 2nd day morning it went potty with undigested chicken and loose pale color semi liquid..took near vet he told he is parvo +ve..that day i put him on IV FLUID...the evening he was active and played so we gave curd rice he ate...and night he vomitted some undigest food..and vomitted a lot..3rd day he vomitted yellow bile..kept him on IV FLUID THERAY TWICE A DAY...vomitting didn't stop.gave him ors.. he became very week..the fourth day same IV therapy and he has done the blood potty for the first time and evening too he has done blood potty on IV fluid...the 5th day..vomitted twice kept on IV fluid TWICE with blood potty and became very week..unable to find the venies there was no blood in his venis he wasnt drinking ors..on 6th day vomiting stopped kept on IV fluid in the morning only, the blood potty was light color, but little bit fluid ozing from his anus and was smelling like a rotten fish, he was active though, gave Ors, vomitted twice..the 7th day ie today blood motion stopped.as well as the rotten fish smell ..gave ors and vommited again thrice..the vet suggested to stop the IV THERAPY and told us feed 2 ml ors and ceralac...SO the vet gave the necessary injection aftnoon, he cried in pain and did the blood potty again and vomitted several times ..i stopped feeding him...now i wore diaper to him...pale red colour blood dripping from his butt with same rotten fish odor..can u plz suggest me what to do now...what should be diet or how i stop oozing motion...One more thing...when i force feed something he is vomitting it in 1/2 n hour...should i follow the video as u described or can u help me with some more info..thank u
Bro! When you are doing therapy, drip glucose.. Then you shouldn't give him food and water... Nothing... My 4 month puppy is also suffering from parvo. Today it's her 4 therapy, therapy means drip glucose, multivitamin, antibiotic, and some other important injections.... It's her 5th day, she haven't had water or any food... My doctor strictly told me to not give her anything..... It's been more than 30 hours, her loose motions are under control, and after her 1st treatment only,she didn't vomit... She is craving for food and water,but our Vet told not to give her anything till further progress
You’re not supposed to give her any curd rice and anything like chicken etc. the reason the vomitting is not stopping is you keep Giving food. Don’t give anything until you see there is no vomit in 2 days and bloody stool is important to throw out junk done by Virus. Let him do vomit but a req don’t give anything to eat and drink as long as doesn’t stop vomiting after vomiting completely stopped then give him little curd just little to see if it’s digestable
Ur vet should give u proper instructions...why are u not changing vet if he has not given..?! Plz don't give him food and water also u need injection to stop blood passing from stools....! Or else ur dog wip become anemic..! plus a good experience d vet...plz change this vet
My labrador was suffered from parbo virus , below are the points I want to mention as per the days he went through 1 day he stopped eating anything 2nd day shows the symptoms of diarea, brown color stool, stopped eating and started vomiting 3rd day went to doctor he given some injection, I started losing hope 4th day morning and evening given drip 5th day same situation, we have given drip both times 6th day same procedure 7th day same procedure , he vomited once in 24 hours, color of stool blood colour 8th day no vomitting, shows some singer recovery, started drinking water without vomiting 9th day he started eating, stoll dark green colour, no vomitting As per doctor advice started giving pantop, appetite syrup and liver tonic twice in a day. If any dogs infected with Pardo virus then my suggestion is not to lose hope, give your 100 % effort, show love to him, spend times with him

However everything depends on how early have you noticed the parvo virus in the dog and started taking action. If when you noticed the puppy is only starting to have loose motion and took action, Good chance to success. If the puppy has already started vomiting profusely, being aloof or in a haze, chances very low. Reason I say this is I do a lot of voluntary stray puppies parvo rescue & unfortunately a lot of puppies in this previous stage I mentioned couldn't recover and died
@@aryanrajput6588 For food, the first 4 critical days of parvo, I gave every 1 hour alternating between Curd & ORS +water. Also I bought colostrum powder and fed that too along with the ORS+water. For feeding I bought disposable syringes, removed the needle and used them as a feeding tube to feed the food. Also please consult your vet as well, you want to work together with your vet and not individually to maximise success. Their timely IV drips and customised medication protocol for your puppy helps a lot.

in my personal experience avoid pedegree for now.. cuz its hard to digest . u could try giving him small amounts of cooked white rice and carrots mixed with it , but the carrots have to be very soft so boil it . and mix the carrot in the rice , but if he stops eating pedegree or the rice then start giving him water mixed with odelyte its like an ORS but for dogs . ors works just fine . if things start going bad u need to go to ur vet and give him saline .. and note that parvo is a transmitted virus so do not let other dogs come near ur dog or let ur dog go near other dogs until he is fully recovers and pls get his vaccine if he isnt vaccinated .. . but if ur dog is still eating pedegree i dont think its parvo cuz most of the time dogs stops eating any dog food at all , and in the worsts case they dont eat anything , but if ur dog is eating pedegree i guess he is a very strong dog and he will be just fine i guess till now he already recovered

I had a doubt regarding not giving anything to a parvo dog to eat. If he doesn't eat, how would he poop ? And how would I then know whether or not he is recovering ? You’re not supposed to give her any curd rice and anything like chicken etc. the reason the vomitting is not stopping is you keep
Giving food. Don’t give anything until you see there is no vomit in 2 days and bloody stool is important to throw out junk done by Virus. Let him do vomit but a req don’t give anything to eat and drink as long as doesn’t stop vomiting after vomiting completely stopped then give him little curd just little to see if it’s digestable
Ur vet should give u proper instructions...why are u not changing vet if he has not given..?!

My labrador was suffered from parbo virus , below are the points I want to mention
as per the days he went through
1 day he stopped eating anything
2nd day shows the symptoms of diarea, brown color stool, stopped eating and started vomiting
3rd day went to doctor he given some injection, I started losing hope
4th day morning and evening given drip
5th day same situation, we have given drip both times
6th day same procedure
7th day same procedure , he vomited once in 24 hours, color of stool blood colour
8th day no vomitting, shows some singer recovery, started drinking water without vomiting
9th day he started eating, stoll dark green colour, no vomitting
As per doctor advice started giving pantop, appetite syrup and liver tonic twice in a day.
If any dogs infected with Pardo virus then my suggestion is not to lose hope, give your 100 % effort, show love to him, spend times with him

However everything depends on how early have you noticed the parvo virus in the dog and started taking action. If when you noticed the puppy is only starting to have loose motion and took action, Good chance to success. If the puppy has already started vomiting profusely, being aloof or in a haze, chances very low. Reason I say this is I do a lot of voluntary stray puppies parvo rescue & unfortunately a lot of puppies in this previous stage I mentioned couldn't recover and died
@@aryanrajput6588 For food, the first 4 critical days of parvo, I gave every 1 hour alternating between Curd & ORS +water. Also I bought colostrum powder and fed that too along with the ORS+water. For feeding I bought disposable syringes, removed the needle and used them as a feeding tube to feed the food. Also please consult your vet as well, you want to work together with your vet and not individually to maximise success. Their timely IV drips and customised medication protocol for your puppy helps a lot.

Hello sir, my puppy has been diagnosed with Parvo from 6 days. She became little active as of now. Before she wasn’t having any appetite but now she’s searching for food. My husky puppy is 40 days old recovering from parvo... he is only eating pedegree is it ok for him?
in my personal experience avoid pedegree for now.. cuz its hard to digest . u could try giving him small amounts of cooked white rice and carrots mixed with it , but the carrots have to be very soft so boil it . and mix the carrot in the rice , but if he stops eating pedegree or the rice then start giving him water mixed with odelyte its like an ORS but for dogs . ors works just fine . if things start going bad u need to go to ur vet and give him saline .. and note that parvo is a transmitted virus so do not let other dogs come near ur dog or let ur dog go near other dogs until he is fully recovers and pls get his vaccine if he isnt vaccinated .. . but if ur dog is still eating pedegree i dont think its parvo cuz most of the time dogs stops eating any dog food at all , and in the worsts case they dont eat anything , but if ur dog is eating pedegree i guess he is a very strong dog and he will be just fine i guess till now he already recovered
