We have a rescue in Kentucky and we seen a LOT of Parvo, until we started using NeoPar. It has changed our lives as well as hundreds of puppies! We do get puppies in that already have parvo so this is great news for those little ones! I’ll definitely be speaking to our vet clinic and see if they offer this! Thanks for the great info!
I wonder if the main advantage of using NeoPar, monovalent Parvo is because it is a single vaccine and so the little immune system can just focus on one disease at a time-- I think I read that inoculating with Distemper modified live at the same time actually creates a bit of a dampening/overwhelming effect on the young pup immune system. No one studies any of these details so data from your rescue experience is super valuable and should be tabulated along with that of various breeders, other rescues and vet clinics.
I watched a vet sub q a ton of fluid in a pup to the point the dog had fluid running out every hole, a matter a hours and he was good as new. Was in horrible condition when he came in.
Elanco is, in general, a lousy company but hopefully their monoclonal product is very quality controlled and reliable.
Why they don’t get it after six months old
Because by then most dogs have a certain amount of immunity from vaccinations. So even if they do get it, it not as bad.
Is this product available in New York ?

Was charged $1000 for this shot and it didn’t work even though we caught parvo early. I’m not sold on this

Please, please vaccinate your dogs or pups ASAP when they reach the right number of weeks, ask you proper age to get vaccinated.Avoid parks, taking dogs where dogs poop. Invest in parvo vaccines. You will save lives. Limit contact with other dogs unless dogs are fully vaccinated and healthy.

Great news! Parvo is the worst , we have a survivor...
Can vaccinated dogs get a milder form and so not diagnosed by vet because they just are not doing poorly enough for the vet to think of Parvo despite the bloody diarrhea?
No I don’t think so
@@LoveMyPups Makes sense that if a dog has a low antibody titer, he might break with some symptoms because he does not yet have what is termed "sterilizing" immunity. Most people think in terms of all or nothing, black and white.. But, immunity is on a grey scale so to speak.
