Hello Luke! Thanks for posting this video. I'm very excited to visit Taiwan this March 11th. Though, I'm a bit worried what clothes to bring since the weather seems to be so eratic? Would you mind telling us when this video was taken? Is it cold outside this march? Thanks a lot!
This was taken at the beginning of March! You will want to wear pants. T shirt during the day and a light sweater during the nights! It's very comfortable weather this time for Taiwan
That's good news! Thanks for the quick response Luke! Best of luck to your travels, I'll be sure to watch many if your videos and visit places you recommend. I hope you can also visit my country, the Philippines, and do some videos here too. 🎉
Depends which city you go to. I live in the South (Kaohsiung) and it's already feeling like hot summer down here. But Taipei is much colder and rainy this time of year. Have a good trip!
4:45 Teppanyaki is combo meal!!!Why you didn't have a side dish? 8:25 not plum it is red jujube, and left hand side is Lanceleaf Lily Bulb, lower left hand side is Ginkgo, lower right hand side is Lotus seeds, upper right hand side is chick peas Please excuse my poor English lol
Lots of dumplings selling in the shop and in the street lots of fresh healthy foods thank you for sharing your beautiful healthy foods spices and not spicy very good healthy foods thanks
This is my favorite night market in taiwan!!! 3 years ago when i first came to taiwan i found out that my hostel is just above this night market! And since then i went two times more to taiwan and always chosed hostels at xinyi so ill be near this might market... i have lots of memories from this lovely place ♡ Highly recommend the sweet potato balls! So chewy and delicious.
Beautiful big city in Taiwanese and plenty of food and cheaper then Canada is very healthy food very fresh love his channel Luke and his girlfriend love any kind of food in Taiwanese country they look very good healthy food, thank you for sharing your beautiful healthy food. Bless you both , 27-11-18:
I'm watching this at 6:59am and all this food has made me so hungry, now have to go get breakfast you are doing such amazing job..keep the vids coming 2 thumbs up
Love the video Luke!Great looking night Market. The dumplings and especially the Taiwanese burger looks super yummy! All around excellent tour. Thanks so much for posting, love it,great stuff! 💖
I always love your informative and picturesque videos. If i were there I would prefer the buttered shrimp with onions and garlic; the dessert with the red bean paste; and the peanut mochi balls. Thank you....because you bring all these countries to me...and it is like being there in person.
Gosh I've always wanted to go to Taiwan! Thx a lot for this video, I enjoyed it a lot. I hope you guys would also make some videos about Taiwanese breakfasts!
Excellent job as always from handsome Luke and his beautiful life partner. This night market not far from my home. Roughly 10 minutes walking time. I'v. usually been there to get a large-sized chicken steak w/ seaweeds. Or occasionally having a set of 5 steamed dumplings w/ pork.
Luke, once again, our family enjoyed watching you and your video. What an experience. That "burger" looked amazing (except for the pickled greens). Red bean dessert also looked good. Thanks for sharing young man.
I really cant forget the 鳳梨蝦球 which is fried shrimp and pineapple covered with mayonnaise, also the dice-size fried stinky tofu. They are my favorite food in Tonghua night market.
I love Taiwan TwT beutyful country , industry bicycles technology and automotive and food , people sites history all chinese culture i love ! I wanna travel and live in this freedom republic of China :D :3
We have versions of all the food you ate here in the Philippines from Chinese influence. We have siopao for steamed buns, cuapao for gua bao, macy for the moshi balls and all are yummy! Maybe try Philippines next? You'll definitely enjoy our pinoy streetfoods like kwek-kwek, fishballs, fish tempura, squidballs, isaw, salted mani, sweetcorn, turon with langka, lugaw, goto and so much more!
awesome video everything looked awesome, your like really inspirational to me with your great travels, but more then that your videos make me happy and I glad I can watch the they make my day better thank you
My friend lives in one of those side alleys in the market. So whenever I visit Taiwan, I’d stay at his place. I know the market very well and there are two things which you missed - stinky tofu and herbal duck soup.
I think the dark colored sweet congee you ate is actually based on purple rice, not red beans. 八寶紫米粥? They do have a red-bean based soup, but I think it's something else.
Oh jeez, just found this at 5am...I'm so high...wish I had this amazing food. ..damn munchies. That Gua Bao is like a complete meal! I could eat that every day.
Love your videos! I always try to get my friends to see your stuff. I really appreciate the representation you give to Taiwan especially since they’re so underrepresented in the international community. Are you purely just a food and travel vlogger now? Or are you making ends meet in other ways? I think it would be pretty awesome if you did a series of your everyday life. Even if it’s boring, I think it would show how life is like as an expat in Taiwan. What are your thoughts?
I love when they do vlog style vids, too. I just moved to Kaohsiung, maybe I can give it a shot too. I don't have nearly as nice a camera as Luke and Sabrina though lol. Gotta start saving up!
I enjoy seeing the different cookware in Asia. Very unique. I wonder if the round frozen steak, was bits of meat that is glued together and set into a mold to shape it. The desert looks enticing and so different from deserts in the United States.
New to your channel. LOVE IT. Deserves mucho mas subscription. Keep it up Luke. Love from Oakland California. Peace...ps. Your girlfriend is soooo cute...
Hey Martin, the seeds in the sweet congee are actually lotus seeds and not chickpea. These sweets and Gua boa are my favorite but have a hard time finding in the US. Your videos make me salivate and hungry 😂
Hi guys! Have been watching you guys for ages and thought I was subscribed. I wasn't but now am. Thank you two for an amazing show and I LIVE that you include your partner. So many don't but should as I gives the show layers which is awesome. Again thank you xxxx
I'd like to see a blooper reel! All the food is amazing but there has to be some dishes that just taste awful or things that happen to throw a wrench into things? Keep up the awesome work!
Wooww!! Lots of steam dumplings looks like steam buns!! I like the deep fried dumplings and the sweet desserts!!!! Thats amazing!!Mmmmmm....That taste so delicious and crispy dumplings!!! Especially the red bean soup taste so delicious!! My favourite desserts!! So good to try it!!! My mouth is watering again!! Great meal!! Enjoy your trip in Taipei and see U anytime!!
always always always love your vids! however, i have one little gripe: the tends to play at a much higher volume than the talking parts so i find myself constantly lowering the volume slider when music plays, and then raising it when you guys speak. maybe the volume needs to be equalized a bit between the 2? at any rate, keep up the great content!
Pity you missed Red Ant Teppanyak near Keelung Road entrancei. I first went there in 1989 and always make a point to eat there whenever i visit Taipei which is only once or twice a year if i am lucky. Started by some youngsters at the time and they still run it; although none of us are very young these days :(
The Gua Bao shop was a big shop in the night market when I was a kid, it seems that is a family business and they not only sold Gua Bao but also sold drinks. It was cheap and big, so every time when I visited the night market I bought one, my favorite was coffee milk. But somehow they closed and now as you can see, it became a small shop without lights.
There is this Asian(not sure which country) across from my doctors, so every Monday after my appointment i treat myself to one of those coffees. Delicious. They have both hot and cold. I get a hot in summer and a cold in winter. Heaven sent. Peace...

湯圓要吃巷子裡面那間"御品元冰火湯圓",只走了後面一小段好可惜~前面還有其他美食~你可以下集補充^__^
