I wish mine had the toggle...i have little switches under the back plate. It is obnoxious, and i love it. The other fuzz pedal i have is the DOD carcosa, which is pretty great for the $, but this thing is ridiculous.
Yay doom sounds. Kyle, if you want a Muff style fuzz that has enough mids, check out the Black Arts Toneworks Pharoah. It's huge and gnarly sounding and has a flat midrange, no scoop.
How would you get that to cut through in a live situation? I played a few songs with my friends cover band many moons ago. Turned on the fuzz and my guitar would disappear. LOL. I like using fuzz on bass. Turn down the tone knob on the bass and play with your fingers and you can kinda get a synthy sound. I hear fuzz sounds good into a dirty amp on the edge of break up. I'm liking the content on the new channel.
Put a Tube Screamer type pedal in front of this pedal and it should help it cut through better in a live situation. Set the TS pedal with gain at zero.
Thank you so much for this content, keep it coming!
Wuuuhhhh
Nice to see the old Butcher get some love. Have you ever tried out the newer “Butcher” Peavey made like 10 years ago?

if you're wanting to try other fuzz pedals, I highly recommend the Fuzz War pedal that Death By Audio makes.

@@KeithMcKissick thanks for the response. I wish I knew this years ago.
I just wound up buying some mid heavy fuzzes like a BAT Pharoah and a Fuzzlord Fet120, but yeah the TS in front of a muff sounds ace.
Big muffs for a dual rec boost is the only way
