Actually before this we used mercury in a manometer but since scientist proved it is a carcinogenic, we don't use it anymore. But in theory, we still hv mercury in manometer for pressure calculation proposes.
@@graceyap1198 For experiment 2.2, another reason is because mercury has high denstiy. Hence, the change in mercury level in U-Tube will be very small. Can say not sensitive.
