Just ear buds and not full headphones for first class? I'm also not keen on iPad IFE, but it's a cheap, easy way to do it. The breakfast looked quite decent.

Yes, earbuds were the only headset offered. The iPad IFE worked well enough. The breakfast was pleasant as well.
