One that I use quite often, is that you can hold on the plus symbol to the left in iMessage and your photos will open/pop up. A sneaky one, that can count as "hidden".
The only thing is that you can’t rebind that shortcut to another iMessage app. But that’s Apple (for you), they don’t like to do stuff that are that/so customizable, so it is understandable (for me at least).
One thing you forgot to mention was the new and improved autocorrect system! It now shows autocorrect undo buttons when you hit backspace, a new text magnifier for when you’re moving the cursor around, and it even shows what words it thinks you’ll type ahead of time, which helps reduce the number of times it needs to autocorrect you! Edit: Also, AirDrop got an upgrade, as the UI is now unobtrusive and simply appears at the top of the screen without interrupting what you’re doing (just like the phone call UI). They’ve also MASSIVELY improved the shading and blurring throughout the entire OS, including on this new AirDrop UI, the top of the Health app’s main menu, the Tips app, the background of Spotlight Search, and even the Notification Center on Apple Watch! And speaking of the Watch, they’ve pretty much improved the blur on EVERY SINGLE SURFACE; not just on N.C.!
One major thing for me is that shortcut automations can actually be automatic now instead of requiring confirmation. This is absolutely huge for me, not sure if it's mentioned in the video.

While on the call, tap the "i" on the top right (above their phone number), and then tap the message button. I recently switched over from Android and have really missed this feature that Android has had for years. It's especially useful when you are on a call with someone who is not in your contacts. Before this update, you had to go to the message app, tap new message, and then ask them their phone # so you could enter it on the "to" field while they're on speakerphone. What a pain!
I have a problem with ios17 on the new 15 Pro. I cannot switch to incoming calls to be shown as banner. It just stubbornly stays full screen no matter the settings. Any ideas? Also contact poster doesn't work for me. thnx
my favorite „hidden feature“ by far is that you can now change the haptic touch response time to be much faster. It just feels way more responsive. Simply go to accesibility > touch > haptic touch and change it there

It can be estimated that 20-30% of the world population at least occasionally communicates in multiple languages. I live in Switzerland which has 4 native languages of which 3 are often used, plus English, plus my native (dutch) language makes carplay messaging quite difficult for me.

And where was the auto dashboard lookup feature last year when I was driving across the country in a Penske truck and there were 2 symbols that kept appearing and it took me 2 and 3 days to figure out what they were. (1st turned out to be the Lane Crossing indicator, but I thought it looked like the truck was leaning too much. 2nd turned out to be the fact that the vehicle in front of me was too close.).

I discovered the manual after I got to where I was going and took the stuff out of the cab. With my black backpack and the black plastic for the interior I didn't see the latch to open the console storage area and guess what was in it. Yep, the manual. I was kicking myself for my stupidity.
Very important topic I have one 128 GB pendrive. If i make 2 partition on that pendrive. Then install ventoy in one partition with ubuntu or macrim reflect backup iso and in the other partition i will install windows 11 ready to go . Will that work If my pendrive both partition is installed with ventoy and rufus , which device will boot up first.

Good morning from China. Yesterday (20/9), I downloaded iPadOS 17 on my mini6 AND iOS 17 on my SE. This morning, Apple’s TRANSLATE app doesn’t work anymore. It’s frozen on English Spanish languages and won’t setup languages as well as download languages for offline use. I’ve been in China six years and recently married last year. TRANSLATE app is my ONLY source of communication with my wife and communication lifeline in China. Please advise. Thank you.
The battery life of your first gen apple watch may take a hit, at least from personal experience. But on my phone it doesn't seem to loose much more battery, other than the fact I turned off power saving mode.
Found an “error” in IOS 17 -> when in a Facetime call I take pictures using the button for that, but it does NOT store the pictures taken in the Photo App 🤷♂️ Tried EVERYTHING but no results…

That's nice. Photos are the most common "app" in iMessages I would use, so that's a useful shortcut.

I have the new pens on iPadOs16 so I assumed they were already there on iOS16.

Hm not sure. Though when I say “vibrate”, it is extremely subtle and quick. Similar to the haptic feedback the keyboard does when tapping a letter
