I’ve been DJing for 10+ years. I just used the gorilla mat for the first time last night at a wedding. Best $40 investment ever. Why didn’t I do this sooner!?!? Thanks Aaron.
I have the same battery power pack. I went with a power pack for my ceremony setup versus getting a battery powered speaker and it works great and last a long time. It’s much easier to carry a battery back versus an additional powered speaker.
Another awesome video, Bro! I really enjoyed this one as a DJ. I did not think about ear protection so thanks for mentioning that. I have to go grab myself something to protect my ears now. Have you ever left a gig & shut off your radio on your drive home? That shit is peaceful but not enough to protect your ears lol! I got the same power bank based on your video on wedding battery powered set up so thanks for that! You are helping lots of people so keep this up! 🙏🏽
As crazy as it sounds, ears can be the last thing we think about. Yeah, me too. I almost always drive home with no radio on, mostly cause I have just been listening to music for 6 damn hours lol! I'm so glad these videos are helping, I'll keep making them!
Just saw this 2 year old video. I'm sure by now you've found your comfortable shoes. If not, Cole Haan Zero Grands are the go to, they're Gorilla Mats for your feet. Best thing I own LOL! Great video
Another great vid. Ive been DJing over 20+yrs. and just realized I'm a dumbass. I Never used earplugs... "huh! What ya say" and just recently started to take a foot pad.(weak ankles and a bad back), Pay attention youngsters. Furthermore i have never ever found comfortable enough black shoes. GOOD LUCK!
Love to the tips! Going to get me a mat. For shoes I like the old man echo wingtips! They look old school sexy and they're comfortable! Keep them coming Aaron!
If you are handy with a meter, drill and soldering iron, you can buy the bare wireless DMX boards to install in some fixtures and your console. Eliminates the issues with wall warts, charging, etc. Power up the console and it starts transmitting. Select a channel if needed just like the Donner. I think it is comparable. Power up a fixture, and it flashes the channel color, then switches to flashing green to show it is receiving. The boards in quantity are under $10 each.
@@AaronStrawn I was amazed at the range of those boards.Put one light in a car and took it for a ride. They do meet the specified rage of 300 meters in a large open field. They do use a small 1/4 wave antenna so have better range than the Donner. I think it is compatible with the Donner, but have not tested this personally. It does use the same channel color settings.

Saving feet and backs one DJ at a time lol

Great video but I have to ask, are you using the Numark DJ2GO as your primary controller?
Nope, that’s just a back up of a backup and maybe something if I want to play on my laptop
